Hello boys and girls, good to see you all and welcome. Jut to clear up a few things because the last thing we want is for you all to fall out.

We have had two bad nights with hackers and the site is still running slow, thats why some posts are not getting on. All I can ak is that you bare with us, Mick is working hard to sort it.

Only Mick and myself can ban people so dont go blaming the mods because it aint them. No Southampton or Portsmouth embers have been banned and no requests for bans have been made.

We are trying to find middle ground without the tight moderation of 606 but we dont want a free for all, Banning and deleting are last resorts we prefer you to self mod. Use the no swear option and the ignore button.

Above all bannter is a big part of football life but we all know when it goes to far so try and respect your fellow football fans and enjoy YOUR forum because it is yours.

 

Yes very frustrating to have perfectly sensible posts destroyed by Mr Nobody.

For the benefit of those reading,

I criticised SingingBlue3 for his past behaviour on the BBC 606 and requested a fresh start on here.
Surprisingly he agreed.
I suggested Kingsland could avoid teasing as the position of moderator means you are under the spotlight.

SetTheStandard and BeddyTare posted questions raised by SingingBlue3 regarding Portsmouth's fiscal policy.

I just want to chat and have a laugh on here and posts not disappearing is essential to that.

 

Approx 6 of our comments posted between 12.00 and 13.00 today went mate. Hopefully it was a glitch and the end of it.

 

CGO - question me as a mod all day long. If your out posting comments which offend my saints members then action will be taken.

FYI - no action presently has been taken against anyone.

Guys come on stop this bickering. As has been explained by Kingsland it was nothing to do with him (he doesn't have the power to ban anyone) I wasn't sure but that was my understanding too.
As for criticising Kingsland CGO......... in my eyes it is clear that on this occasion perhaps it was not justified.
Kingsland.....You are the moderator ...... you are going to have to be a bit thick skinned my friend, as you are going to receive criticism, so you have to be mentally tough enough not to keep biting........
To all out there come on guy's and and gals give kingsland a break.... the site is new...... the job he has volunteered to do is not going to be easy. Just remember in time he will gain experience and the site will iron out it's flaws.

I had moved on personally Beddy but having read the e-mail sent by Maltese_Mick and co they really don't want NOT606 moderated in the over-zealous way that BBC606 sometimes was.
I have every right to criticise Kingsland and had my post not been mysteriously removed you would see that i said " although i don't feel your comment to SingingBlue3 was excessive Kingsland perhaps you should not tease others as you are a moderator and have to set an example".

A perfectly polite and civil post and in no way in need of moderation.

Just days ago i was happy to back Kingsland but a moderator's job is simple. If it's nasty, unkind or disruptive then it should go. Debate that you might not like or is inconvenient must always remain.

Nobody likes the fact SingingBlue3 appeared less than me, i messaged Mick to explain his history of wumming on BBC606 and asked Mick to help if necessary. SingingBlue3 has committed to a fresh start and we will see how that goes.
Moderators can't ban but they can delete i assume? That said, from what Kingsland says i need to approach MalteseMick to find out what happened as i accept Kingsland's word it wasn't him.

As someone who supported the election of a moderator i feel that moderator should protect the board not dictate it and i am sure we will all learn from this. It is not in my nature to beat around the bush Beddy and i never will.

I don't wish to continue this even though i hate seeing well thought posts junked. It's happened and it's all part of human nature that we sometimes bicker.

In my case CGO it was my fathers generation and you are quite right about free speech!
I think even our near neighbors from Pompey would agree I have championed the cause of free speech on the other 606.
As to the posts being junked, I don't think they were, but as you say its good to draw a line under things. As you can see couldn't sleep again.....

Yes mate I am I'm afraid.......Have been supporting the Saints for nigh on 60 years for my sins.......is that a health problem? LOL
Seriously though Have had very bad insomnia for about 4 months since an operation. Just do not like taking tablets to make me sleep, as taking them often doesn't work either!

 

Sorry to hear that. I am lucky in that i normally struggle to wake up!
Saying that i can't ever get to sleep before midnight which doesn't help with early starts.

As i have got older i have developed medical dependencies and it reminds you of just how valuable your health is.

60 years of the Saints is enough to keep anyone awake eh?!
