Agree! Really sub-standard! Used to get some really well thought out and amusing banter on 606 from League 1 & Championship fans....I 'spose it's obvious that the higher up the league you go the more people take themselves (and their clubs) waaayyyy too seriously!
People have been telling us we are an easy 6 points since we came up from League 1 , been working out for us a lot better that the teams saying it though . Thanks for the welcome though doyler (cheers )
In our defence, QPR under Holloway at our patch kicked lumps out of us and had about 15 bookings or something daft. Not too long later when he became Blackpool manager he openly admitted he wanted to do what we´re doing down here. Low wages, good football and no prima donnas. He had quicker success but a lot of it was based on loanees, whereas the structure we have in place has been built since Martinez came back as manager in 2006/7. I´d say we stand a better chance of staying up than Blackpool did at this point in terms of strength of their squad, but obviously that´s biased opinion!
Of course Liverpool should beat us given the players you have and the ones we have, but football is a funny old game, and liverpool are renowned for dropping clangers, hence the start of most of your seasons since the early 90s, do you really want me to list the ones beyond last season ? You are just a fan, I am sure daglish won't be so quick to write us off, we will go for it, I mean what have got to lose ?
Here we go again English PL from a fan from Belfast. Only the Irish could write that. Anyway one thing the Swans guarantee is total football, win, lose or draw. Comeback at the end of the season and see if you change your mind about us. Give King Kenny his dues he's congratulated us on promotion. Must be hard having ago at the Mancs. when they keep winning title after title.
Yeah pal, I hope you's play the same "no fear" way that Blackpool showed. It could make for a great season for the Premiership. As I said on an earlier post, best of luck.
