Not often I disagree with Col but this is great for me. Click on a thread and it takes you to the newest message you've not read and the lovely white on red arrow , bottom right hand corner takes you whizzing to top. Never liked the old app but the website looks great in an ordinary window on the phone. Good stuff!
Cheers Stan, but I've been using Android app up until night with no problems, and it's still available in Play store (I know the iOS version is dead) - just wondering if Mick is planning to update the app, as it's a nightmare to use site on my phone, which is my main use of the site as I don't have regular access to laptop! Maybe the new site migration will aid this - time will tell!
I've changed it to a darker green. I hope it's more readable. As for the 'new site,' I must admit that I'm not overly keen on it myself. However I hope that it's a bit like when we switched from the old BBC 606 site onto 'not606' in that it took a while to adjust, in so much as you forget what the former site looked like. I think we need to try it out for a couple of weeks and then see where we are. Trust me, even if I can't get on with it by then I'll be looking to put roots down elsewhere.
Thanks for changing font colour - now able to read, and you've answered my question with regards to the app, but it also appears much easier to use on my phone browser than old site - herecs hoping it stays that way

Ok.............it's growing on me and it's fine on my android phone, just as the old site was! It's quite cool that it automatically takes you to the next post that you haven't read (I think!).
Well.............just as I say that it's growing on me, all the threads apart from the stickys have vanished and been replaced with threads from 3 years ago!!
That green is a lot better thanks. I haven't tried it on the laptop but on my Windows phone (no app was available) it has a smoother feel to it. If I can make a suggestion mate - it might be worth a separate sticky for pooled knowledge (questions and answers) for the new forum functionality (avoiding non-specific "it's crap" style feedback). I know keeping stickies to a minimum is an unwritten rule on this board (and understandable) but this is quite major for this site. Your last comment is worrying Nines and I really hope it does work out. It does feel more normal with every passing minute so please persevere buddy.

The only problem is that the thread relating to this on the Mods board is about 15 pages long. It also uses a lot of jargon that I'm unfamiliar with. I'll try it and you'll all have to bear with me if I need to find answers to certain questions. Lol, I haven't seen or heard that phrase for a good few years.
Does it balls. Its hard to edit other people's posts when you're quoting them. That and its changed my Avatar back to a Teddy Bear again.
If you have any constructive queries pertaining to the new site format, then post them on this thread. Please do not post any throwaway comments such as ' It's a load of ****e' and the like. You can put them on Kiwi's thread. Please also bear in mind that I'm still getting used to it as much as you are and haven't had a chance to play around with it myself as yet. If anyone else can help resolving any questions before I do I'll be very grateful.
Has anyone worked out how to quote more than one post yet? I can't fathom it out, that's if it is indeed possible?
Thanks for this Nines. As I've said on the other thread, the mobile web version I've got no real issue with, but getting rid of the mobile apps, rather than simply updating them just makes no sense to me. For sure I will be dipping in to the forum less often now that the site is web-only.
