Met my 'man on the beach' this morning, he was a very happy dog walker indeed after Saturday and reckons that we're a far better team than anyone thinks and we should be able to make a stealthy attack on the play-off positions so 'watch this space'.

On Clucass he's hearing that due to his perennial knee issues Burnley wouldn't guarantees game time and wanted to offer him a squad/cover player type contract at a reduced wages. Clucass wanted to move to play, not to sit on the bench for pennies so wouldn't agree to terms offered. Deal currently seems dead but its not buried as negotiations are on-going. We may get our man yet.

 

At the minute he's not guaranteed to get back in the Swans side, never mind "guaranteed playing time" in the Premier League.

 

I hope they shift him on, showed nothing last season to suggest he will bring much this. If he does stay cant see his heart being in it and don't want players like that here. Would like Woods here, coming in trying and hoping to make an impact. Read somewhere that Reading are interested in Fulton.

 

Clucas's move to Burnley is off and a second bid for Woods is on , fingers crossed for Woods and all limbs that Clucas goes , anywhere

 

Can't Cardiff take Clucas - surely they need some gingers in their squad?

I hope the woods bid goes through and I hope Clucas is moved on, do we know why the Clucas deal fell through, is it his medical, if so how the **** did he pass one to sign for us.

 

I believe that his pay was the stumbling block , he wants more than Burnley would pay ,failing to agree personnel terms normally means the players' eyes are bigger than his belly , or bank account, so it looks like we're still paying a wedge for someone who doesn't want nor we want to be here

 

Collins was their last one , fair play he made a decent living from being, well just ****e

 

We just need 2 central midfielders. Definately not Sam Clucas even on a free.

 

I thought Colin also wanted a striker? Clucas is a regular goalscorer ..... against Arsenal

 

Good to see that we are back in for Woods, apparently the boy has set his heart on coming to the Swans, and it's why he was left out of the Brentford squad on the weekend.

Upped the offer for Woods. Rather ironic if the £600,000 they got for Mawson puts them in a stronger bargaining position. They only want £7 million and we've already offered six . Get it done you muppets. Jenkins could pay that out of his profits from the sale of the club.

 

You are right we would risk losing by trying to penny pinch, happened so many times in the past. Just hope we go out and get him.
