League is guaranteed for them as much as it is for Celtic. Its all about the CL and they just got battered 3-0 by PSG
1. Attack - last season, we were clueless against low block teams. We couldn’t create anything. This season, we have created chances against these teams and we should have won. Not much of an improvement in terms of results but definitely in performance. Which is encouraging for me. 2. Moreno/TAA - not defending them defensively, but the point I was making is that the defence is just as bad as last year but at least they’re helping us going forward. It’s added a new dimension to our attack. Whilst they’re not dribbling past 2-3 players and whipping perfect crosses in, they’re supporting the attackers, overlapping, and creating space. 3. Our bench last season had the likes of Woodburn, Grujic, Origi etc. Now we have Gini, Lallana (when he returns), Sturridge, Ox. Whilst Sturridge has lost that burst of pace, he’s a very intelligent player IMO. Very calm and composed on the ball, and I actually would like to see him play a deeper role maybe a number 10.
Hmm not sure I agree - Salah was one of the highest scoring attackers in Europe for the last couple of seasons (and still is!), playing for a big club with RomA, and had CL experience. Salah has already scored 4 goals this season. Lallana’s highest tally in the PL is 8. I think Salah’s signing was understated because he was deemed a ‘Chelsea reject’.
If Bayern have then I would be worried as they really ought to know what they were going to do before the sacked anchrlotti so if it's not tuchel then they won't take no from us as answer
Jurgen Klopp: Liverpool boss at Anfield for two years - but are Reds better? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41567028
So, does that mean you think JK is as bad as BR, or was BR not so bad after all and we're just a dead loss no matter who's in charge? Or is it something else?
I'm basing my "NO" on the basis of the question saint, basically Klopp imho hasn't took us anywhere Rodgers didn't during his time here, that's not saying I want Klopp out or think Rodgers was a better manager. I just don't think we've progressed in the last two years, Klopp has had three transfer windows but thinks he can make a silk purse out of a sows ear when it come to our keeper and defenders.
I wasn't trying to put you on the spot, Page - just discussing it. I do think it's possible that Rodgers wasn't as bad as we thought, but that's really impossible to prove one way or another. I don't think he would have been able to take us to another level in such a competitive league, but maybe Klopp can't either? I'm prepared to be patient and give him the length of his contract to try and achieve it, but I don't think he's the miracle worker that some expected. I'm as baffled as anyone by our transfer policy when it comes to defenders, but I'm prepared to accept that there are valid reasons because I don't go along with the idea that the people responsible are just stupid. Because we don't always know the reasons doesn't mean there aren't any. I am afraid that the only way to achieve sustained success in our league is to buy it, and that's a road I really don't want us to go down.
