I don't think Marco Silva is expecting us to go down. It wouldn't help his career. Given how we played against Everton, it shows that, while the top six are way ahead of the rest there's not a lot of difference between these 14. I'm sure he thinks that with a few new players and sorting out the stupidity we could be mid table.
Said it on another thread somewhere but welcome Mr Silva. I think his record is fairly impressive, albeit short, and I just hope he is backed properly to have a proper go at it - that was not granted to Phelan in my opinion. The squad is not strong enough as it is to stay up, especially when you factor in the African Cup starting soon. That is my belief. Give him some funds and let's see what this dishy young chap can do (and I don't mean all the swooning housewives of Kirkella). Just a further note, hopeful though I know it is - clearly I really want there to be a new owner round the corner. I find it suspicious that maggot cock has started talking again, and that it appears we're suddenly ready to compete in the transfer market again. To this end I hope it signifies change, it would be best for everyone. Thanks to Mike Phelan, an impossible first job and very little respect granted to you. Time for the club to learn from its mistakes and take this seriously again. Backtrack on some disastrous decisions and rebuild unity. Or leave.
Does he know that Escab inserted a one year extension in his contract in the small print, just in case we're successful and other eyes start looking..
Has Pennick gone? I thought he could take up youth role again (Too many posts today so may have missed something)
