bzc he didn't started or played as central strikers so often, his goal rate is better than walcott anyway , twice better in term of goals per game when when he is younger than walcott sure he is not of the best finishers around at the moment but he definitely can score goals if he play constantly in central area
he started only 9 times, only 8 out of them as a central striker and scored 5 (rate of 62%) .. not bad for a 19-21 years old player , Rooney himself had 40% scoring rate even where is more experienced and play all time as a central striker
hhh all strikers scores goals facing those team, if we take them out, their goal rate will drop too ok, let us even take this 2 goals out and he is still a rate of 42% 3 goals out of 7 starts .. not bad for such a young player
Easy with the insults sweet cheeks, there's **** all need for that, if you can't debate sensibly then I'll leave you to the kids, but I'll have one last go. You're relating the entire discussion to United & some system that you've elected to try & fit them into, which avoids having to take the players relative merits in isolation. Any STRIKER is judged (as you agreed with) primarily on their goalscoring record. It's not complicated. Most sides play with 1 striker these days anyway, either with a 'No.10' playing off them, or with 2 wide players (usually wingers) playing either side. The days of striking partnerships (big man, little man combos) are largely gone. The better striker between Welbeck & Lukaku, is the latter imo, by a country ****ing mile.
i take out the 2 from san marino, and brazil one bcz he was not central .. so 3 goals out 7 .. decent rate or any striker more when he is young ..
4 out of those 5 goals he scored for England were quality one that any quality striker will be proud of it for a guy who was 21 .. not bad
lol.... England plays better with a 4-3-3 formation anyways so i can't see Welbeck starting many more matches for us.
so in fairness to Walcott, whose England goalscoring record you have unfavourably compared to Welbeck's, you really should do the same for him and only count the goals from the games that he started as a central striker.
indeed you have a very valid point and it is a disadvantage for Walcott .. and this is effecting Welbeck goal scoring in UTD too
In all fairness this is turning into the most dull arguement ever.. Can I suggest people start throwing around some serious hurtful insults, perhaps call each others mums fat or such like. As looking as this thread is making me lose the will to live. ****s
