Well last season I have it on good authority Leicester bid just over £10 mill ( was reported at £7 mill ) - he's just signed a new contract and with the tv deal premier league clubs and the £££££ filtering through the leagues, Didz is worth a hell of a lot more than any £200k. I actually really like him, reminds me a little of Counago in touch/ ability/ floating and links play up very well. I just wonder with his fitness record if it may have been worth selling him in the summer or perhaps this one should we remain in the division again? Regarding strikers, what do we do about option 4 in Dids absence? Alabi played ( and scored ) for the U21s yesterday, so fitness wise ( after 90 ) he's going to be absolutely hanging for today and appears unlikely to be in Mick's plans any time soon. I have to wonder why, on the basis he has scored a few for the U21s and based on Frank Nouble to a certain degree being Mick's love child, could Alabi be worth a go? If not, and with Pitman/ Sears/ Murphy looking like lining up at present each game, we're surely going to have to go into the loan market for a striker based on McGoldrick's very poor fitness record. Is he likely to be definitely fit until January after this latest injury? I'd imagine he'll get fit then something else will crop up. A little confused re Bishop - apparently he's been " close " a few times but wasn't in the U21s yesterday and he wasn't involved and appears unlikely to be involved in the 18 today. Weird on!?
Regarding the game - unsure how it'll go. Hoping Mick continues the sign over Wolves but it won't be easy. I'll be optimistic and say 2-1 though I have a feeling it may be a draw today.
Haha also fancy Wolves! I donno, maybe head says draw by two sides struggling to achieve what the supporters are after, but heart says we'll tear it up.
I'd have sold McGoldrick last season, he's technically a very good player but I've never really seen where he fits in. He's not really a striker but he's not a midfielder so really he seems more of a player who can play in the free role but for me he's too selfish to play in that role, he's not creative enough. I've just never felt that despite his talent he has always brought an imbalance to the team. Remember we could have Varney coming back into the fold in the new year
What i have seen of didz, i would say he is highly overated, slow/ponderous and very selfish, also injury prone, no prem club would go in for him, no way, just not good enough!!
Sounds like a good game, have to rely on messages now as off to pub on a pre el classico piss up!! Fingers crossed we get another, some breathing space then, laters ladies!!
