So, so glad our game at the Bridge was postponed last week. This is not the time to be playing a resurgent Chelsea away from home.
Don't want to deflate you but would you settle for 3 points from games at Anfield and Stamford Bridge?
Yup, not expecting anything at all from those games. As long as we leave with our dignity intact, I'll be satisfied.
One of the guys I went to football with was adamant after the game yesterday that we'd have been better off playing Chelsea last weekend. Whilst I understand his arguement that two weeks off may well have left us cold going into yesterday, with that momentum built up having fizzled away - after all, the whole team played badly, with little urgency in our play - the simple fact is that the game he wanted us to have played was Chelsea away. Chelsea away! I don't think we'd have lost it 8-0, but I could have easily seen us getting a bit of a pasting - and that too would have popped our momentum balloon. Huge game Boxing Day now. I just don't think we can afford to lose it, even at this stage of the season.
