Not sure he dived just fell theatrically! Need a Norwich win today and looking forward top the Dons grudge match at lunchtime!
Norwich: Bunn, Whittaker, Bassong, Ryan Bennett, Garrido, Snodgrass, Tettey, Johnson, Pilkington, Hoolahan, Holt. Subs: Rudd, Martin, Howson, Jackson, Morison, Elliott Bennett, Barnett. Sunderland: Mignolet, Bardsley, Kilgallon, Cuellar, Rose, Johnson, Gardner, Larsson, McClean, Sessegnon, Fletcher. Subs: Westwood, Campbell, Wickham, McFadden, Colback, Vaughan, Bramble.
Think I'd prefer to keep Sunderland under pressure. Think Norwich will easily stay up not so Sunderland!
Same. Norwich is playing very well at the moment, but I'm not yet ready to rule them out as relegation contenders. Don't want to see them go down, but if it's us or them...!
There is certainly that arguement, but on the other hand we do only need three sides to finish below us. Trying to keep as manay sides as possible down here could ultimately do more harm than good. All those additional one points that the likes of Reading and Sunderland pick up against the sides between, say, 13th and 16th could tally up significantly come the end of the season. Personally, I think we need to let some sides go - like Stoke now have. And Norwich are possibly one of those sides. A Sunderland defeat here please.
And actually, looking at Sunderland run of fixtures up until FA Cup weekend, a defeat for them here really would be fantastic for us. Chelsea (h) Reading (h) [win-win for us] Man Utd (a) Saints (a) Man City (h) Spurs (h) Liverpool (a)
Should Sunderland lose this, I have an inkling that O'Neill might walk. I'm not sure if this would be a good thing for us or not.
Definitely, but my feeling is that we have more control over the situation if there are, say, seven potential contenders for relegation entering the last couple months, rather than five or thereabouts. If it's us/Sunderland/Reading/Villa/QPR, we're at the mercy of results elsewhere...if two of them go on a good run, we're suddenly in a world of trouble.
