Darlow was excellent for Hull when on loan, it’s like a Keeper curse when they join us. I agree with you, we’re stuck with him for now, we need to get behind him, we’ve seen he doesn’t handle the pressure pot so fans fuelling it will only make him worse

It’s a forum for footy chat, where we debate pros and cons of players managers etc. When the whistle blows I cheer all of them. I hope Meslier is brilliant for the rest of the season. If he is, I’ll be the first to say it (well maybe not the first but you get my drift). I hope he gets a rousing reception at the next home game and not booed like Tyler Roberts or mocked like Jay-Roy Grot.

It’s a forum for footy chat where we debate pros and cons but can’t mock Jay Roy because it doesn’t suit you but you can make Doc leave because he’s not allowed to debate his point of view? <whistle> I think I understand.

On the thread that Doc decided he had had enough, I thought most posts actually agreed to some extent with the points he was making, so I am unsure why he felt everyone disagreed with him so much, that he needed to leave ;)

Doc has some weird thought process on Farke. He hates the guy. If he is questioned on it he goes straight for personal insults. I'm not sure what his issue is but it's two seasons in a row where he left the forum in a tantrum. I think he only came back to get his " I told you Farke was ****!" comments in.

Ultimately Doc will be proved right as Farke won't be here forever. That could be this season or sometime in the future if we go up. Presumably Doc will be back then to tell us all "told you so".

I think Doc will only be happy if Bielsa comes back. I think there are a few fans like that out there. I feel the same way about Jesse.

I missed Doc beginning his annual sabbatical so can’t comment on what made him leave. Likewise Jammy. Are they trying to tell me something.

I always had the impression Doc was struggling with something more personal and his outlet was on here. We all handle what goes on in our private lives differently, Doc seemed to have lost his biting point when it came to Leeds frustration.

Jammy posts elsewhere now, I spoke to him via a message and he never indicated what the problem was on here.

Some of the posters at the other place are far more negative than what goes on here. Ruling that out I have my own theory on why he has avoided this forum.

When I was a supervisor many years ago, as a young 20 year old, one of the women on my team was the most awkward person I’ve ever met in my life. I can’t describe how bad she was and I always wondered how she’d never been sacked.

My manager said have more patience with her, nobody knows what happens behind closed doors at home and what problems people might have.

It was many years later I discovered her husband used to beat the crap out of her ensuring their were no visable marks.

Can't speak for Doc or Jammy but one very noticeable horrible among a good section of our online fans, not here, is the inability to conduct any kind of discussion and see the other persons point of view. I used to look on Leeds forums on fb and twitter and we have some awful assholes for fans. For example, they don't accept Meslier made a mistake and anyone disagreeing needs to give their heads a shake and go off and support someone else etc. Personally I couldn't care less, the end result was a draw and nobody can do anything about it. Why it or anything else can't be discussed without throwing insults around to fellow fans beats me. Think it may be a generation thing in fairness. The internet generation seem to want to just suppress everyone else with their extreme views. A sad lot

I think with forums, if you’re sensible, you read and follow posts and get to know the “characters” before saying too much that is controversial, it can be tricky without seeing the body language. If you join a forum, you probably wish to integrate into it at some point.

Social media, as in the likes of X, it’s more a spur of the moment say it without thinking. You don’t intend on being part of an online community or ever meeting up, you’re posting for clicks, likes, popularity points and an ego boost

'go and support someone else '<laugh>....the funny thing is the vast majority of these twitterites etc wouldn't have even been to LS11 or travelled home from an away defeat and got home at 2am deflated and have to get up for an early 6am shift....it's the done thing with the internet mob just pile in with someone who they think might want to actually discuss a point of view, and I think you're right about it being generational...my daughter's are always saying dad you can't say that these days <laugh>...wanna bet my cherubs says me <whistle>

I've no idea bud, I was just pulling your chain a bit!! What is clear is Jammy & Doc made conscious decisions to stop posting on here for whatever reason. The one that concerns me more is Forza, he also just stopped and I am not so sure that is the same situation.

The old numbers are getting a bit thin on the ground alright. Time to start up a few dual accounts again, at least make the forum appear good

Forza and Leeds 60 although the latter of the two was gradually slowing down in posting. Billy’s Statue pops on once in a while but looking through, Forza stopped more suddenly

No but we've had a few PM's over the years about tickets. Sent him a PM a month or two back just asking if he is ok but haven't had a reply.

I'm not aiming my comment solely at you. But you only have to go on the matchday thread to see some of the knee jerk reactions towards the players. Mes has also saved us in games. You could sell Mes, replace him with another keeper, but whose to say that the new keeper doesn't **** up in a game somewhere down the line. Mes is put under pressure sometimes IMO by the out field players, some not tracking back which led to Sunderlands first. He made a good save unfortunately the ball hit the post. I'm as frustrated as anyone, but to drop him now would IMO do him more harm and **** his confidence up completely. I would also add that we as a team are in a great position, granted without his mistake we'd be higher. We have 4 first teamers out and the players who have come in have done well. Anyway thats a positive. I don't think we should fear any side in this Division. <ok>

Interesting debate, which if I’m honest I don’t know the answer to. He is an average keeper at best for me. Mes has been the club’s No. 1 for a number of seasons but doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Including the first game against Portsmouth he has cost us four points, which would have us top. Unfortunately I doubt that the other goalies we have are any better.
