Weekender

I think the point being made is. Bielsa is very particular about the type of player he wants in, both playing wise and how they fit the squad. We also know Bielsa is equally as particular about the level of fitness he wants before he considers them as first team ready, so the longer we take to get players in the less likely they are to play. We currently have just one senior CB if as is likely we don’t sign Ben White. The young players you’ve named are a punt that he wasn’t prepared to take in the championship until the job was all but done so I can’t see how we view them as premier league starters this season (not wanting to sound negative)?
You have summed up nicely what i was thinking. Kalvin got injured so the lad struijk was given a chance as we were bare bones. Shakleton hardly featured and davis.. Casey etc were invisible except for the odd bench rotation. Was it gotts who played at stoke and was a boy among men. New fullback sounds promising as does the wigan lad.
Point i am trying to make is so many say bielsa gives youth a chance. Well i must be blind as it was the same 14 or so all season. I think it's a myth.
