I'm a Bamford critic but I'm happy to hold my hands up if this continues. All I ever wanted from him is to stop missing and add an end product. He's doing it and deservedly getting the praise. Maybe having Rodrigo here has kicked him up the arse a bit.

And yet we're averaging 3.5 goals per game! And, to boot, we're about 5 games away from their normal fitness levels (according to Bamford on BT Sport). Creative players are great. No doubt about that. But goalscorers are even better!
And really we don't play with a creative no.10 in the traditional sense, where all moves flow through one player at the centre of it all. In Bielsaworld every player is expected to create, and does. Even the keeper
It's great that our 4 most advanced players have already hit the back of the net and hopefully that will continue. Downside today was we were one player light in midfield due to the injury to Pablo...Rodrigo ran himself into the ground and Roberts again showed his attacking potential but also his deficiencies when it comes to our shape. Alioski had to be brought on to nullify Fulham's comeback and he did a fine job in a more central role than usual making a very useful contribution. It was interesting because I thought Dallas would move into midfield with Alioski slotting in at left back but Bielsa must have been working his magic and Alioski added energy centrally when we needed it the most.
Agreed but conceding 7 goals in 2 games was because we were missing something in the middle and today was a nightmare in the middle as it was breaking down as if a spoke was broken. So we got bits and pices and fragmented broken play, intercepted passes which put us on the back foot
That's it exactly Doc... We need a quality player in there who hardly ever loses possession, links it all together and also plays the killer pass...in other words a Gary McAllister, a Tony Currie or maybe a Lynsey de Paul
