We did slide end of season 1 with Farke. Legitimate criticism. He did take over a sh*tstorm and played a big part in putting that team together though and ,we were comfortably the best side last in the league last year even if Burnley had a freak defensive run.

Genuine question for those holding Sunderland up as ‘proof’. Do you really think they’re a good side?

Fair play to Sunderland. I genuinely want them to do well for a variety of reasons. But if you watched their games and watched our games. They’ve not been better than us this season, If you look at chances created and xg, we’ve been better than them. They’ve managed to avoid the howlers we have made and they’ve converted at a rate that is completely unsustainable while the opposition have missed loads of chances. What they have shown is great spirit and togetherness. I applaud that. They couldn’t have wished for a friendlier first 6 games to get their season going. They’ve ridden that wave, it could have been very very different, and when the results change we’ll see how they really look.

Or they may have a season like forest did last year. Where every shot continues to go in, and the opposition keep missing sitters. They have the benefit of playing without ‘table pressure’ now.

Point is, its far too simplistic to say - Sunderland are shining light
Considering how far behind us they were last season, I don’t think they are a good team, but they only need to be better than three others and so far they’re doing a far greater job than us

It’s a sad sad reflection of where we are as a club that the only topic of conversation among fans day in day out is Farke. At a time where discussions could have been about new stadium, youngsters like Archie gray preparing to break through, squad strengthening in summer to push to another level and this is what we’re left with. I’m going to wish you all a happy Xmas now as if we get the expected thrashings between now and then, I’ll be switching off the WiFi for Xmas methinks

Yep. The Farke discussion is rather tedious day in day out.

Look we are where we are. We were a bottom 5-6 team start of the season and we will be at the end of the season no matter who's in charge.
Recruitment has been questionable in certain area's mostly up top.
Transfer Funds. have the goalposts been moved? if not why was Farke complaining at the end of the window he didn't get what he wanted. if he did know what he had to spend why did he leave the most important positions to last and lose out?
You can't live in the Prem with 2 Freebies leading your line it's the best league in the world.
We have been wanting a 10 since year 10bc yet we still can't seem to find one why?
We all knew that. but, we all carried hope because it's our team. DCL will come good! Keep him fit, he will get the goals were the cries.
Nmecha I never thought would be a player to start. my thoughts were he's been brought in to fill the injured gaps a stop gap player.
We are going to get tonked in certain matches this month/next fact. Farke will be sacked be4 xmas its not how it will happen its just a matter of when.
A new manager will fetch new idea's new styles but it won't change our position fighting relegation.
We are all down but we all knew we'd be in this position. its the hope that kills.
We started well but now have hit a rough patch the Burnley game was my killer.
we carry on. we fight with what we have got. If we can improve on that in Jan great if we can't it's not going to be easy but we have to believe we can get that 17th place.

Milky is right on Sunderland and won’t be too long before some bad luck hits them and start to see points lost and league position falling into the bottom half. Hopefully we see our rotten luck (Fulham/Spurs etc) and we see DCL scoring off his backside and some points won. Fair play to Sunderland but will not last

The season summed up so far for me, comparing it to one of those games that you are totally on top miss 4 or 5 good chances and we all say we needed a couple of those to go in, we'll regret missing those and we go 1-0 down at home.
The fluke og at Fulham, the 2 points dropped against Bournemouth and the point we deserved against Spurs, are those missed chances, 15 points and mid table, maybe more as we'd have been more confident in the following games, less pressure, also we wouldn't be talking so much about Farke exiting. Small margins but Farke as to do something now to get us back in the game and at least get an equaliser. The same game plan with the same 11 ain't going to do it, it needs more.

I do have a pathological hatred of keepers that punch away everything, even when it should be a straight forward collect.
Totally agree, it unfortunately seems to be the modern way of keeping, it looks much better diving & palming a shot for the cameras more dramatic, actually catching/gathering a shot/cross is now a thing of the past, for that's just boring.

Spertsyan scored for Armenia. This is the ten DF tried to sign on the last day of the window but ran out of time. Wonder if we are still going for him. Not a bad season for an AM 15 games with 6 goals and 11 assists so far

23 year old Troy parrott scores two against Portugal and three against Hungary. Fabulous finishes. Any club with any kind of ambition should be breaking the bank to sign him. He’s currently on 10k a week
