Those days are long gone when I used to be gutted for a couple of days if we got beat, because simply the game isn't the same for me anymore In a number of ways...to many foreign imports, ridiculous money, var, cheating players pretending they've been shot, card waving against opponents, stupid goal celebrating... maybe I'm an old dinosaur but take me back to the 70's/80's/90's for sure...ho hum where's my Ovaltine <whistle>
Succinct and completely correct. Why, oh why does this matter so much?

On the subject of the game changing, did anyone else notice the story of Man Utd breaking all revenue records this week? They brought more cash into the club in sponsorships, ticket sales, superstore sales, food and drink etc, than ever before. This was Monday and on Tuesday we find out they are over a billion in debt now thanks to the Glazers. Remember the big nose yank family took out massive loans to buy the club. They have never used their own money but take millions out each year because they just pay the interest on the debt so the debt never goes down

Can someone explain to me how this is ethical yet not adhering to PSR is an offence

I fall in and out of love with football - it’s a barometer of how interesting my life is. If I’m into football I must have nothing else going on! But despite that, I’ve Always felt the pain of a defeat and the high of a win.

it’s a strange phenomen to explain to people who don’t get it . I lived in Leeds for the first 10 years of my life and the die was cast. They didn’t have many local
Lads playing for them then… now the side is 50% European. The players will stay 2-3 years typically. The managers the same. The owners not much longer. Who what or why are we supporting? Truth is none of the playing staff or owners or results even matter. It’s all transient. What matters is a sense of belonging A common bond. Happy together, sad together. Moaning together. Whether in the ground, in a bar in a foreign country or online. We are Leeds.

Bloody hell shaks, take it easy bud. I hope we put this one to bed early today and give you a safe ride.

I know theres more to life than Leeds united as demonstrated by a few oh this post, but I won't waste my breath echoing that to you.

Do you, but get better mate. Sending positive vibes <cheers>

Just pointing out why we needed forward players and by not getting any besides Okafor is damaging.
Surely the 16m spent in a keeper would have been better allocated towards a forward. We could have got a top keeper near end of career probably for nothing. Attacking players were far more pressing. However I have a niggling feeling that perhaps it was more a case of nobody decent wanting to join
