Two good seasons. Unless you don't think he contributed to us winning the Championship by 10 points. It's a team game and the team always played better with Bamford leading the line until his injury during his 3rd season with us. Since then nothing but let's not rewrite history.
We've been through this before bud and agreed to disagree. I think we got promoted despite the lack of a proper striker. He should have scored much more during the Championship winning season with the chances that team created. I think he had a par season. A good season would have been another 7-15 goals. He was above par in his first season in the PL so thats his one good season. The rest? Garbage.
Dan James was ok but as usual missed a chance to score, went absent for a while and then crossed for Piroe after great work again from Rutter. Anthony though has looked lively as hell in the few minutes we’ve seen him last week and this. Like him a lot and maybe he deserves a start?
I have to say we may question FARKE team selections at times, but you have to give him credit for his signings. Ampadue and Rodon look Prem quality, Spence only got a few minutes but should prove to be top top player, Byram has a new lease of life, Darlow looks to be a really good keeper, Anthony looks impressive, yet to see Gruev but Kamara didn’t do much wrong today
Don't forget James had two assists against Millwall, 2 assists today and laid an open goal for Georginio in the first half that he missed. That might have been the pass of the day too.
Yeah and nobody even missed Gnonto did they. My point was that Anthony has done nothing wrong in the few minutes we have seen him but he’s been involved in a lot of goalmouth action in the last week and maybe deserves a go. He actually looks like a forward with the positions he takes up at times but as a wide player he gets back and makes himself available and runs past defenders straight into the box
Looks a proper player to me Doc, upright, head up and always seems to have time. Fair play to Ristac because he called it from the off
This is a long tough league and I’m certain Farke has told them they will all play a big part, injuries, suspensions and just resting some once in a while. I don’t know from his Norwich days if he likes to tinker but all seem to be buying into him (with maybe the exception of Gnonto)
Illia Gruev is a 23yo Bulgarian international who has played at all age groups for Bulgaria and has been a regular for the full Bulgarian team since 2022 and also played 80 games for Werder Bremen. A top player already and should be a starter for Leeds but being kept out by some great performances. So lads we still have a baller to slot in the middle at some stage
Rutter had a great game but we need to ensure we do not put the same pressure on him that we did last season. The first time his trickery fails, and we draw or lose as he misses an easy chance, we need to cut him some slack rather than get on his back. If the fans show love and support, keeping him through January will be doable. Treat him like we did Wood and how we are with Bamford then we must not complain when the transfer request goes in.
