Very true. I don't know the player at all, never heard of him. The bits I've seen look like he is a central midfielder and not a 10 though. All I'm saying is that if he doesn't want it then there are plenty of alternatives out there for similar money. The obvious one would be O'Brien on loan with an option to buy which is very much what Forest have said they would agree to. Maybe a £1 million loan fee with an obligation to buy if we go up for a further £8 million would be very easy to do. The German fella not wanting to back himself might turn out to be a blessing for us.
On another note it seems Leeds met the asking price for Paintsil only for Genk to then ask for more. Leeds willing to move on. The German fella's wife is worried Leeds isn't for her. That's why he is unsure on the move. Gnonto, Summerville, Sinisterra AND Piroe have all travelled to Ipswich.

Thought I read that Amiri had turned the move down as he didn’t want to play in the second tier? And his wife didn’t fancy living in Leeds? (She probably thought she’d be living in sunny Marseille ) Need players who are fully committed. Not ones who see Leeds as a last resort or stepping stone.

Some reports now saying Genk rejected bid from Leeds but Leeds have gone back with higher? Seems likely to be a great addition if it happens
Paintsil had a promising start to his career, had a few injuries and then did nothing for a few seasons… then last year was a ‘breakout’ season. Either the Belgian league has Europe’s slowest defenders or he’s seriously fckng rapid.
On a different note i see Luton are breaking our record of last season, conceding an average of 3.5 goals per game, it's tough at the top you know Good morning everyone.
Think last seasons championship was a poor one. Boro and swansea have lost their strikers so not to be feared. Leicester new guy is doing well and Southampton are awash with cash. Autos are anyones guess and could just come down to who keeps their players fit.
Saints & Leicester are the ones to finish above. We've yet to fully show our hand but as it stands it will be tough to get automatic promotion. That of course could all change by next Friday if we can get another 2 or 3 quality players in the door. Looking forward to seeing how we do.
Buenos Dias desde Espana. Watched Celta Vigo vs Real Madrid last night in a Spanish bar. Does every Spaniard automatically support Madrid? Glory hunters. Game is completely ruined. Madrid got every single decision their way including goals disallowed, penalties given and every 50/50 decision. A ****ing disgrace and corrupt as ****. Calmed myself down at half time with a banana split and it made me feel a bit better. Up at 7 this morning. 5 mile run in amongst all the farmland mazes of growing tents. Really warm, was 32C by the time I got back to my hotel. Cold shower then headed down for breakfast which was cheese and onion omelette, grilled tomato, toast followed by lots of fresh fruit, a croissant and a strawberry yoghurt. Lots of fresh orange juice, lots of coffee. I'm flying home at tea time so booked the room for the rest of the day and now chilling next to the pool. Supposed to hit 37C today. Roquetas de Mar has been a decent little town to stay at. Very few English which I like and very chilled. Recommend for families. Not for bachelors on the pull like @wakeybreakyheart although there is a strip club for the perverted (@Jammy 07 and @bucks_is_leeds ). Not much for the rainbow people (@OLOF and @LeeUtd ) I'll miss this afternoons game so will have to rely on the more sensible posters to let me know how we played. You know who you are. Anyway, I'll try and bring the weather with me. This is my last Spanish update, hope its filled the void left by Leeds Uniteds lack of activity the last couple of weeks. Its been emotional.
