Key for us is now keeping the likes of Adams and Sinisterra. Rutter will hopefully flourish too. If we get six new players fine but I don’t believe as things stand today that we need six. I’m going to assume Gnonto and Firpo are leaving and that Harrison will be the only other departure, I’m not even going to include Dallas

    New Keeper
    Drameh/Ayling
    Cresswell
    Wober/Cooper
    New LB
    Gyabi/Greenwood
    Adams
    New Midfielder
    Sinisterra/James
    Rutter
    Summerville

    Subs
    Struijk
    Jospeh
    Geldhardt
    Bamford
    Perkins
    Gray

If we can replace Struijk and Bamford great, if we sign competition for Wober and Cresswell even better but Cooper has another season in him at this level. Glowing reports about Archie and how he’ll push for a place this season.

Koch, Roca, Llorente, Gnonto I personally feel the starting 11 are better without them.

Our aim has to be double edged, promotion with a nucleus of players who are good enough for the PL that nucleus has to hopefully include Summerville, Rutter, Drameh, Jospeh and Gyabi. We know Sinisterra and Adams will be good enough.

No panic from me yet until we sell any of those mentioned above

Is Adams fit or fit enough to start the season?

I watched alot of Championship football last season and I disagree with you. With the exception of Burnley the rest of the division was awful. Luton and Coventry were dreadful teams and they reached the play off final. They just happened to stumble on a winning strategy and had a couple of players in key positions who can play higher. There is a huge gulf between the PL sides and Championship top 6.

The real key to the Championship is momentum and confidence. Like I keep saying, winning is a habit.

Our current first team XI isn't good enough to push top 2 but it should get top 6 if confidence is high. If we do some decent business then there's no reason we can't go back up. My main worry is the time it's taken and after relegation we need some confidence to build on. We don't want a slow start, we need a quick one but with the takeover taking so long I think it might screw us over.

He's not fit now, I can tell you that much. Farke likes players to be match fit so I'm assuming he won't be ready.

My biggest worry with Adams and the likes of Sinisterra is that they have decent starts to the season, proving their fitness and we then lose them at the end of the transfer window as clubs take a chance on them.

So you actually think Sinisterra can go a whole month without breaking down.

19 appearances last season in total includes cups.some of those will have been as a sub?. 46 league games this season plus cups. Many players come from pub leagues and can't hack the english leagues. The intensity is too much for them and injuries are frequent. I like him as a player and can see him in the middle three with a striker in front of him. He knows where the net is too. With the takeover dragging on it may work in our favour. No players we can get a substantial fee for have left yet. This has to be because 49ers do not own us yet.

Totally agree with this. Luton were a bit of a throwback to the old Wimbledon FC and with so many teams “playing out from the back” it threw the teams they played against and allowed them to gain momentum as you well pointed out. My point was that momentum can come in the second half of the season and that’s possibly when it counts more for promotion and playoff places.

No idea but if he only becomes fit and able to start playing for us the week after the transfer window closes I’d take that

Did he ever play a whole game. Might be my memory playing tricks on me but I only remember him coming on as a sub or being substituted off?

It was clear that Tyler Adams was injury prone too prior to signing him. We just seem to like players who can't play a full season. That's why I've said all summer we need rid of the **** ones like Firpo, Cooper, Forshaw, Bamford. 50 game seasons are no joke and that's why I've been banging the drum for signing proven Championship players.

Pablo rarely played a full game for us under Bielsa but he was the key player in our last promotion.

Bit of an age difference between them though and Bielsa played the game with much higher intensity.

I have been reliably informed by an interview I have just had that 'Adams recovering from injury has perhaps delayed too much movement in the transfer market'.

Crazy stories out there that FARKE is willing to pay Forest £25m for Emanuel Dennis. WTF is that all about…… we have shyt loads of wingers and all of them better than Dennis. The same journos gobbing off about Leeds have agreed a £20m valuation for Gnonto. Why would you accept less for a full Italian International than a mirage from Forest. Do these journos not read what they write ffs

Talking of crazy stories, really don't know whether to believe it or not but apparently the story came from Bamford's dad and confirmed by members of his family.

Bamford needs too go, he’s been part of the problem behind the scenes

i posted this earlier in this thread, Bamford sued the club last season, and the club paid him out, because apparently, we made him play whilst he was still injured

Can we sue him for injuring himself during a goal celebration then? He did that of his own volition.
