Why would people think there’s an embargo. The issue would be buying/selling ie radz/49ers agreeing on paying out without final clarification on ownership. Having just been through due diligence on a business sale. No fcker does anything until solicitors say so. The business is in a coma. Coughing up a few quid for a Scottish teenager from existing cash flow probably not an issue. Also hard to get a player to sign without knowing the ownership situation.
There is no embargo but put yourself in the 49ers shoes. They currently don't have majority share until the EFL say that the takeover is OK. They aren't getting any money in from player sales so any major signing would be financed by the 49ers without owning the club. The Scottish lads were small fry buys but I bet its difficult to give the green light on a 15 million transfer when you don't know if you'll even own the club. I wouldn't be putting millions in either until it was all signed off, particularly when you're dealing with Radz who is obviously untrustworthy.

Who said we can't sell players? We have a bit of cash coming in for a few loan deals and Roberts and McCallmont sales but it's not a big wedge of money. It looks like some of that has been used for the Scottish lads. For the big transfers like Hamer for 10 million or Nat Phillips for 8 million then the investors will want assurances that they actually own the club before they start pumping money in recklessly. They're not pumping 50 million in to the project if they don't have confirmation of the takeover and I wouldn't do that either.
