Nice little Sunday morning stir Jammy. <cheers>

I've never liked Bamford. He's ****. I admitted at the time that he managed to shut me up that first season back in the PL (as my mate Milky said, in front of no fans so no pressure). He missed loads in the Championship, he missed sitters all last season.

On top of that he openly criticised the coach and his tactics to the press that cost the coach his job. That's fine so long as you do the business in front of goal. He wasn't and ironically if he had put a few more chances away then we would still be in the PL. Throw in the fact that he was part of the 'leadership team' that provided no leadership and that's it for me.

Get him out. Don't even want him on the bench.

On a side note, nobody should suffer the abuse he has had. I agree regards the fan base last year. Disgraceful at times towards players who were obviously at a low ebb and needed genuine support and not criticism despite the poor showing at times.

Pretty sure Bamford will start the season as our first choice no’9 but fans just don’t seem to want that.

Crazy really given he’s proven at Championship level and actually earned an England cap due to his good all round play in the PL.

As we were relegated just don’t see how we could sign someone better or even equivalent in ability.
I think he will stay and hope he keeps fit.

There's no doubt that Paddy misses too many chances.

On the other hand if he converted them he'd be rated right up there with Harry Kane.

Oh and if the fans take last season’s bad feeling against some of the players like Bamford, Firpo or whoever into this season then it will only lead to more poor results.

As Farke said we all need to be together.
Jammy, Bamford is a poor finisher, not a good trait for a forward. The other parts to his game were more important to the way Bielsa played than the other coaches we’ve had but even Bielsa pointed out how many chances we/he needed to actually score. I don’t remember how many goals he scored when we were last in the championship but the numbers certainly don’t stick in my mind that I would consider him as tearing up the division. And a few years older and persistent injuries, I can’t imagine him doing so this time. Hopefully he’ll make me eat a large portion of humble pie.

LoL promotion year he got 15 the season before that 9 and that season he was injured a lot and shared the striker role with the guy who went to Rangers and Belgium. Bamford has never ever been prolific and why he was a £7m striker. When he scored the 15 he was still miles behind Mitrovic and others who were hitting the net way more often and his shots per goal average, his minutes per goals etc was shocking. 15 goals is decent but we had Harrison, Pablo, Klich chipping in with just short of 10 goals each

I always say that we got promoted despite having Bamford up front not because we had Bamford up front.

Why not try Bamford as a number 10?.He is good on the ball and can pass. He works hard when fit so maybe he could do a job. We need a striker who scores most of his chances.

We need to remember that FARKE has told the board we need to score 75 goals minimum to get promoted, so just maybe he doesn’t fancy Bamford.

At a push he might be okay as a third choice or something. We just can't afford him to miss that many chances again this season. This isn't going to be Bielsa Leeds in the Championship. We won't be that dominant. We will have to be more clinical.

It's the reason yesterday I was banging on about set piece goals both for and against us. It's an area where it's obvious that we can massively improve and if we can generate a 8-10 goal swing then it would be huge.
