With Dyche we'd be mid table and looking upwards. Not flavour of the month but knows his onions and like Thomas Frank at Brentford & Unai Emery at Villa would get the necessary results.
Bold statement since it can’t be proven. . He’d want to play a defensive-minded 442 with a squad built to play a different way and no defenders in the squad that can actually defend. We’d be boring as hell to watch and likely still go down. (A bold statement that can’t be proven), He’s probably a decent choice for Everton now. But Leeds? Not for me. Anyway, we’re going to thump Brentford with scintillating attacking football today and all talk of Jesse out will be confined to history
Thomas Frank on Marsch and Leeds: "The team play and perform much better than the results they’ve got. I understand why [Jesse] Marsch said that the Villa game [Leeds lost 2-1 to Aston Villa on 13 January] is a ‘go-to’ performance. They looked such a threat and have players going forward who have pace and a big skillset. “ Some sucking up to the opponent to keep his team grounded obviously, but hey as I agree with him on this occasion I thought I’d post it
No idea how Dyche would set us up formation wise but it's not something that would overly concern me. After all we did win the League in 1992 playing 4-4-2.
Think Marsch is realising that narrow isn’t always best and so we are gradually seeing width brought back and we can move into a 4-4-2 without even planning it. Our team is built around wide players so why not go wide naturally?
Reminds me of what Bates let Grayson have. A team squad with plenty of talent in attack but needing an upgrade in defence and we all know how that went.
I once had a coffee and a chat with SG's dad with regard the situation, when Bates knocked him back, their relationship was never the same, not Grayson sulking but the fact Bates didn't like having a few home truths thrown at him.
Pure speculation wakey. Maybe Grayson would have spunked the war chest up the wall as plenty of other clubs have done trying to compete against parachute money.
Wasn’t that the season we were in the top 2 all season and top of the league at Xmas, so Bates thought Grayson had enough so knocked him back and then the wheels came off in January and we finished 7th?
Coventry and Stoke also chasing Gelhardt now and seemingly the club ar rightly demanding that the majority of Joffy’s wages are paid. That probably rules out Wigan
