What’s the problem with people getting their chance through injury/suspensions. It’s pretty much how everyone get’s their chance. At least marsch was giving them chances off the bench.. and was prepared to try them rather than just shuffling the pack of his senior players as some managers might. I seem to remember Willy and Jimmy on the pitch at the same time when they combined to score winners v Liverpool and Bournemouth. The ‘why didn’t he play Willy earlier’ argument we’ve seen bandied about recently is among the more ridiculous of the anti-marsch tirades.
I’d love to know which players were down to Orta, Bielsa and Jesse and which one’s genuinely got away as a coach said no. Not that it would make any difference, it would just be out of interest. I also wonder if Orta will become a more prominent figure once the 49ers are announced as the main share holder
I didn’t say there was a problem, I said I’m not confident with so much attacking talent available that Jesse will make the right calls. I don’t have confidence that he will get the balance right
Yeh who’s to say. I’d be surprised if he knows what the best combo is yet. I personally haven’t a clue. If we lose though it will be because he got wrong obviously.
The club seem pretty unanimous that it's a joint decision so I guess we'll never know. I think the coach will give the final nod but I believe Orta has a large scouting network. For example Aaronson is seen as a Marsch signing but Leeds were buying him regardless. It was sorted before Marsch even joined.
Sometimes he does seem to manage by numbers and therefore seems to have pre set substitutions in his mind rather than reacting to the game in front of him. You know Bamford for Rodrigo after 60/65 mins etc.
So if a player trains like bielsa trained them he is match fit but everyone else does not train then correctly. What a load of bull krap. Gone are the days of players not training to be match fit.

I thought that one was too coincidental myself. Marsch was being lined up last Christmas to replace bielsa in the summer - we try to sign his favourite player. I’d be amazed if that wasn’t Jesse tipping off vic. Tbf I felt he was a bielsa and marsch type player anyway.

Well that was an interesting read. Both Emu and Milky make very valid points, nonetheless he has won 2 in 15 (being generous, I’ve heard 18) so despite all those decisions he apparently has gotten right, we’re two points above bottom place, he looks and sounds like he’s cracking up.
Yep. The results haven't been good enough and at the end of the day it's a results based business. I believe the performances have been better than results suggest and that things even out over a season. I will say that this January window will make or break Marsch at Leeds. Results need to improve now. I'm quietly confident that we'll get a few results from here.

But scares me this as we saw the way scum went backwards last season with this guy and Ragnick. Son in law is a scum season ticket holder and he peed himself laughing about ghis. The players detested him, he added nothing and just ass licked Ragnik. He went back to the states before Ragnik was dismissed
Will the FA fall into line and suspend Spurs DoF Paratici as he has just been banned from all football for 2.5yrs. He was in charge of cooking the books for Juventus. This thing isn’t over yet as UEFA now doing their own investigation into football finance rules which has effected their completions as Juve have regular appearances in Champions League followed by Europa League. Will affect Conte too because if Paratici is forced out of Spurs…..
