Yes and even now we still don’t have a LB in the club. Last season the 23s tried to turn Liam McCarron into a LB but hes now sold on. This season we are trying different options at LB in the 21s even Hjelde. But Drameh has pace, power and tackles, so he can get up and down or he can sit back and cover. Bigger brains than ours at work here obviously :emoticon-0148-yes:

When hjelde played left back last season he was solid defensively but gave the ball away a lot. It was just one game but I think struijk is maybe better on the ball currently and along with his experience is why he gets the nod.

Re Cody? There are clearly issues. The club weren’t happy re him going to Cardiff last season. Marsch pretty much made it sound like he’d faked an injury to not play at wolves last week. Attitude problem?

Shame… watching him live for the 21s he looked very good.

With respect to his readiness for PL? It’s hard to say. Along with Djed Spence he was standout in the champ. Spence got sold and can’t get a game at spuds.

I’d rather he stayed but as 3rd choice with 18 months on his contract? He’s going to move on for an annoyingly good cut price deal for someone. These clubs after him? That’s his agent putting it out there.

Could Drameh play left back for us? I think it’s the same problem. He could… but marsch wants attacking full backs to provide our width. He’d bomb forward and be trying to cross with his weaker foot.

Moving on from drameh, We’re here trying to find solutions for left back. There is an obvious one.

Go and buy a fckng left back.

I agree, and for something so obvious, it's not even been tried yet. Something smells wrong.

It's likely we'll fall into the relegation places again before the home game against West Ham on 4th Jan.

Yes we'll have games in hand, but the pressure will be huge.
