My take on the ageing players is that they've already been replaced! All of them.

They're now squad players, & although they're capable of being starters, the younger players have already firmly replaced them are there to be dislodged from the team. It'll be interesting to watch Bill & Dallas' return. The signs are there that Bill will provide cover as a stand-in RB & CB, & possibly will leave at the end of the year if this is the case. Why else would we not send Drameh out on loan again? It's because he is already Rasmus' deputy & Bill will need to dislodge him first, before he gets a shot at Rasmus.

I've got everything crossed for Dallas, but it's impossible to predict how effective (i.e. useful) he'll be on his return. Even if fully fit, who would he replace in the team? I don't think he'll have the engine to be a FB in this system, & I can't think of any midfielder in the team that he would replace. I think this might be the last year for him too. Sadly.

Coops & Forshaw will remain as cover. Whilst they might not set the heather alight, they're 7/10 players for me & welcome as backup. We might even get a couple of years out of them, but no more, I think.

So, in summary, I think we've already replaced them as first team starters - it's now JM's job to make sure that they are eventually replaced when time is right for Leeds United.

Well Drameh is not out of place so far today. Maybe a couple of mistakes in the first half but no difference there from Kristensen. He sent in a couple of great crosses that deserved a striker on the end of one.

Half of me wants to put Marsch back in the sack race, the other half says Leeds dominated the whole game right up to the final ball. Gelhardt was unlucky again but did create. Roca let fly a couple of great shots, Aaronson was unlucky, Bamford was a spaz and should have scored at leat 2, we actually didnt improve with Bamford on the pitch. VAR killed the game and all the talk about VAR being sorted within 20 seconds this season was bollox. Ref didnt see anything wrong with Sinisterra tackle, VAR took ages and ages to look at it which means if VAR have to use slow motion cameras from countless angkes and still take minutes to find a priblem it means there wasnt a problem. We were fkg cheated by VAR and the next VAR decision was also bollox because if the Brentford player wasnt behind Koch, Koch wouldnt have jumped for the ball he would have just let it go to Meslier, but the player was in an offside position so Koch had to go for it. The fkg offside rules are bollox. Flag goes up and then minutes again to try and find out if Koch got a touch. The player is offside end of ffs. So the scoreline has flattered them but Llorente needs sorting out

Disagree on the offside goal Doc. The Brentford guy was onside when the long ball was played. If Toney had got the flick on, then he would have been offside, either way Koch had to try and clear it, he couldn't let it run through.

No issues with anything else you said about game though

The offside goal is on Llorente again I reckon. When Toney and Koch go for that ball, Llorente should be anticipating the ball. He stands still and let's Mbuema run on to it unopposed.

    It's really slack defending.

Sunday morning and still dont want to discuss yesterday, gutted. However there seems to be a hell of a lot of anger at VAR decisions. One ref refused to go look at the screen and kept to his original decision, if only the wnker yesterday had done the same. Yesterdays ref and VAR killed the game.

Seems we had Gnonto lined up fir a January move but got him early because of all the last day woes. Now it seems we are in the process of doing a deal with Brereton-Diaz. My understanding is he can sign a pre contract agreement in January as he will be out of contract next summer, but to get him in January we would have to involve his club and the player?

Might as well move for Diaz because Gakpo isn’t joining no matter how much time and effort Orta wastes on it

Seriously mate, this joins the most utter garbage of click bait crap I’ve ever seen. It’s just added up player exits, no agent fees, no player purchases, even you don’t really believe it I’m sure

I think at the end of the clip going around where he first met Jesse, Jesse asks him about speaking German and he spoke that too.

Willy Gnonto needs to start the next game because Joffy was ok but has missed a couple of chances he would have expected to score from in the last couple of games. Bamford was pants. I know Gnonto is young but hes a full Italy international and deserves a go because we need goals and only Rodrigo has done that so far

I'd be amazed if we saw him start for a few weeks

Bamford will start next game, Joffy on the bench, an U21 game first for Gnonto and get him up to speed on Jesse's style and what is expected.

I'd personally not expect to see him considered until the start of October, not just that, imagine the unrest that he jumps in ahead of the likes of Joseph and Perkins when nobody knows if he is any good

Just to add it looks like Gnonto has started twice this season and both times he was substituted, he has come on as a sub a couple of times too, Zurich are rock bottom. He really isn't ready for Premier League football

Its a point of view Rich yes. However Perkins, Joseph are not ready yet and Joffy hasnt done it in the last 2 chances. Yes he made stuff happen got stuck in but missed chances in both games. Bamford isnt yet ready to start and Marsch has a problem and not wanting to upset players shouldnt be on his radar
