I thought we were great as an attacking threat Aaronson looks quality. Harrison looked ready to rock and roll. Roca and Adams looked ballers with energy. Bamford and Rodrigo showed that form and fitness is slowly coming back and 5 goals between them is sure to boost their confidence before the start next week.
Not sure how to read the game as the opposition looked very poor but we still struggled with their pace on counters and one on ones even with the limited opposition. We are gagging for a proven pacey LB. Thought Struijk coped well tonight but it won't be the same in the Prem.
We all know we need a Keeper, LB and striker before the window closes and the two outfield players need to be quality not just gap fillers.
Lets hope next week we can bag one of them or can we be greedy and get both. as on the keeper i agree with a lot of you on here Ben Foster will be a ideal number 2 and I wouldn't blink a eyelid if he had to take over if something happened to Meslier. thing is will he want to be a number 2. As I'm sure plenty of clubs can other him first team football but that may be at championship level.
All in all happy with tonight but the work starts next weekend and we will really see where we are.

The good news is that the new signings were pretty much all our better players tonight.

Kristensen looks a great player and he linked up fantasically well with Aaronson on the right.

Aaronson himself was a right handful, has good footwork, decent shot and takes up intelligent positions. Looks a great little player.

Tyler Adams was MOM for me. He was everywhere, got stuck in, pressed really well, passed neat and tidy, played some great long passes and was a bundle of energy.

Roca was a bit hit and miss. His range of passing is impressive but he got a bit complacent at times and put us under pressure. Noticed he spends a fair bit of time really deep in the middle of the centre halves allowing the fullbacks to push on to bolster the midfield. A bit of a risk taker.

On to Rodrigo. He was our worst player yet walked off with a hat trick. He frustrates the life out of me. Always takes that extra touch.

BTW Cagliari weren't that bad. Their first goal was perfectly executed and would have torn apart most teams. Their number 9 needs to get a transfer to us. Thought he was fantastic.

Wasn’t having a pop at you. There’s an element on social media still praying at the Bielsa altar but I’ve asked them in many occasions are they leess or Bielsa fans as some haven’t a good word to say about our current manager
I’ll let off steam like we all do but no manager or no player ever goes out to purposely lose. It was always going to be hard for any coach to follow Bielsa so I don’t envy Marsch. As last season ended and as preseason draws to a close the one guy who I’m totally frustrated with is Orta.
