I read it as the club would have to give Orta a big pay off so are waiting for his contract to run out. So in the meantime the cheque book has been taken off him to avoid another big kev type disaster.

What we need more than anything at the moment is stability. Staying in the PL and retaining the services of Orta & Kinnear are vital parts of that as we wait to see how things play out between Radz & the 49ers. We've seen what's happened at scum after Fergie and David Gill left at the same time, Arsenal declined after David Dein was sidelined and Everton are in absolute chaos behind the scenes.
