Just seen the last 15 mins, and agree with most on here. Fascinating game to watch. Although not at our best, very good away performance for much of the game, KM right plan Their 2nd goal def off side by one if not 2 players, one by a yard! Rubbish ref decisions against both teams Wrong tactic by KM to take off Jackson - we lost the midfield Not convinced by KM switching in form players so often Burns has been off his usual pace for some time - must give him a well earned 'holiday', he was playing thru the summer All said and one, a good result from a top team who will be in final mix come May. We still top the table - bravo!
The lino actually gave an offside decision against Wednesday when they were still in their own half !! the players stood around wondering what was going on and we had to be told we had a free kick in their half, so although theres no excuse for disgusting behaviour ridiculous decisions dont help the situation.
I don't blame the subs for giving up midfield possession, it was just that the players got rattled after Sheffield's first goal and started aimlessly hoofing the clearances. We stopped trying to play out, or pass to Evans and Morsy, and it resulted in constant pressure.
I was right in front of the Davis incident. It was a yellow card the other way! That resulted in the sub. There was endless interference and there were endless bad decisions. The offside one was the cherry on the top. The officiating was an absolute farce - but still nowhere near an excuse for missiles being thrown from the home supporters. That affected the ref to keep giving free kicks and cards and ultimately the final outcome.
