Time to grow up. Go find a dictionary and look up the word "debate". If you need some help comprehending it,you only have to ask.
Last word on the thread title before its bushwhacked any further. When the only article came out, by the Mirror , saying Monk missed practice the club managed to get the article taken down and an hour later did everything humanly possible to steer other media outlets away from the story .They tried to make it all about Wednesday practice , tried to humiliate the paper so no other paper would dare follow up.Only after Monks sacking odds got slashed did any other paper follow up .The daily mail finally found out that Monk missed Tuesday's practice , something the club was trying to hide , Once the cat was out of the bag and had to start answering real reporters ,the club said that Monk had an appointment Tuesday , an appointment they say was known for quite a while .One only has to watch Monks Monday interview to know the club lied. When Laudrup got sacked there was basically two camps , one camp was angry , the other camp was ok about it .What both camps have in common , was surprise by the sacking .I would imagine the best way to make money on a sacking in the betting world is a surprise sacking. Not saying this is all true , only that it is what I believe , something stinks
Swansea City boss Garry Monk salutes Huw Jenkins's "trust" By South Wales Evening Post | Posted: October 29, 2015 please log in to view this image Garry Monk has paid tribute to Huw Jenkins Comments (0) GARRY Monk has paid tribute to Huw Jenkins for trusting him to take Swansea City forward. Monk has thrived at the top since Jenkins asked Swansea's then club captain to take the reins from Michael Laudrup back in February 2014. Though these things quickly get forgotten, 36-year-old Monk is the second youngest boss in the Premier League behind Norwich's Alex Neil. And after coming through one of the most difficult weeks of his reign ahead of last weekend's victory at Aston Villa, Monk has saluted the attitude of his chairman. please log in to view this image "The good thing is he is so supportive and has been since day one," said the Swansea boss. "He lets me have my own ideas and lets me grow — to find out myself what works and what doesn't work. "That's great for me as a manager. "Of course, we talk about other things — dealing with players, transfers, the budget and so on — but he is supportive and he lets me get on with the job. "He knows how hard I work and my commitment to the club. He knows I'm striving for quality and he trusts me, which is great. "This is the environment I want to be in. If I could pick an environment to suit me to work in as a manager, then this would be it. "I am allowed to express myself and learn for myself. He offers advice in difficult moments, but it is more support than anything. He trusts me to get on with the job." Swansea's current regime have appointed seven bosses — Brian Flynn, Kenny Jackett, Roberto Martinez, Paulo Sousa, Brendan Rodgers, Laudrup and Monk. All of those men have contributed something to the club's rise from the wrong end of the Football League to the top half of the top flight. Jenkins has kept a close eye on every one of his managers, often turning up at the training ground to see how they work. please log in to view this image Monk says his boss does not appear on the sidelines that often these days — but stresses that it is no problem when he does. "He still watches us train, but perhaps not as much as he once did," he added. "That's maybe down to trust as well — I have earned that right. "But I actually like him being there. "I like having someone as chairman who is that involved and who wants to know what is going on. "He has been to training sessions under all the managers he has had here. "As player, we used to try to hit the ball at him. Now, as manager, I try to stop the players hitting balls at him!" Amid all the speculation triggered by newspaper stories about Monk missing training last week, there were suggestions Jenkins was keen to add a senior figure to Swansea's coaching staff. But Monk has insisted there is no chance of Swansea's board attempting to tinker with his management team. "I have a good level of experience at this level now," he said. "It's not perfect and I have to keep improving, but I think I know football pretty well and the guys I have around me are very experienced as well. "The staff I have focus on different responsibilities and we bring that together and go through things thoroughly. "I don't think there would be a group of coaches who are more thorough than we are."
ill bet you Monk wasn't saying any of these things Monday night after the interview Matt.Monk was cohearsed iinto the " everything at the club is ok " with promises made too Monk at a later hour The source of the leak was someone who overheard or were privy to it he information from the Monday night meeting of Monk and , I assume , Huw.. Im happy it all happened because after almost 2 years , Monk finally stood up to the board. A word for the wise for Garry though , watch your back now.
And Ill tell you something else , is it only me that thinks itts super unusual that Jenkins asked Laudrup to change his staff up a bit and when Laudrup says no , they shake hands and Laudrup leaves the grounds and finds out he's been sacked , that he's in France , even though he isn't , and that Laudrup isn't allowed back on the grounds or banned from even talking to the players, most , most unusual. .And people wonder why the Chicos, Pablos , Pozs and Michus wanted out .4 things I've learned about Jenkins over the years , he's sneaky , he's lucky , he's predictable and he really thinks he's smart sometimes when he really isn't.
Sometime before Laudrup was sacked Huw came out in the press bellyaching about spending 11 million for Bony saying it wasn't " The Swansea Way " to spend that much on players. Then The first transfer window after Laudrup is sacked , 7 million was spent on a defender.. Now I suggest to you spending 11 million on a striker that we sold for 27 million is hugely more "The Swansea Way " than spending 7 million on a defender that we will never recoup our money from, little on make a profit. Sorry Huw , you can't have it both ways.
And look how their careers have nose dived since As for Huw being smart, well I'd argue his decisions the past 10-12 years have certainly proven that as without him, we wouldn't be where we are today.
We'll see about that when the authorities catch up with Huw , when Laudrup got the sack and Monk was hired my concern never had to do with either , it was Jenkins ,things just didn't add up.... till now.Like I say ,all this stuff might not be true , but it's what I believe ...there's a crook amongst us.
I know Huw and class him as a friend and we have had many disagreements over the years but one thing i will say he is as honest as the day he was born and always makes choices he believes is for the good of the club.................................Your round next jinx..
