Stockley and Washington were our only goal scorers last season. We had a non scoring midfield.

I'm not going to go overboard on the significance of the result yesterday, but it plainly shows our squad is too weak to convert good attacking play into three points, or even hang on to one point.

Lots of positive talk has been talked about promotion this season.
Why then are we still missing a proven goal scorer?
It must be concluded that the resources at CAFC do not match the rhetoric.

We will be scrambling to get this vital piece of our puzzle, quite possibly until the last hour of the transfer window.
At which point we might get somebody decent, or we might not.

This hit-or-miss approach has been tried again and again, and the success rate has to be something like 1 in 10 windows (at a guess).
Sadly it gives fuel to the hate-mob who just attack Thomas Sandgaard like a mindless little swarm of biting midges.
Their relentless playground insult routine is embarrassing, but TS doesn't help himself by going most of the way towards doing things right, but then not taking the bold decision required to quiet his more reasonable critics.
