Curragh 8.10- Baby Power 12/1.C&D winner who goes well fresh and the booking of Keane is a positive. One of my favourite horses in training so hoping for another big run today

Two at Nottingham for me today

2:05 Lethal Angel

It is great to see Robert Tart back in the sport, he left the sport due to mental health concerns and has returned after four years away. He managed a nice win on his return ride and I think he is one to follow this season. However this selection is about the horse!

Lethal Angel doesn't win very often, but is a consistent sort who has placed in half of her flat turf runs, and today I think she has been put into a perfect race. She is down to a winnable mark and has shown enough in two of her three starts for this yard to suggest that she isn't a complete outsider here.

3:40 Sevenal

This horse looks nicely handicapped for me, and with cheekpieces on and Frankie onboard I think he will be tough to beat.

I wouldn't be totally surprised if Tossapenny runs well in the opener at Cartmel. Fetched 170,000GBP after winning a maiden point to point and obviously didn't lived up to expectations for the Ruckers and Evan Williams. But the two 3rds this season at Hereford and Fakenham offer some hope today for each way purposes. Becky Smith takes off 3lb. Trainer John Wainwright not known for winners in the NH game but there is a bit of market support for this horse. Worth a small each way bet.

I’ve always thought Henry Brooke rides Cartmel particularly well (his only ride there on Monday was a 4/1 winner) and Nass can hopefully back that up with a stat?

Anyway he has 3 rides there today and whilst Melgate Majeure is up against a 1/4 shot in a 7 runner race, both Too Much To Ask (1.20) and Bossiney Bay (4.05) will have every assistance from the saddle <ok>

31 winners from 209 rides at Cartmel. ROI of 31%. Marginally better strike rate over fences of 18% and a ROI of 66%.

Today he rides only over hurdles.

Halved in price but still found one too good. One to be following place only on turf.

Sword Of Fate 2nd.

Gin On Lime good today, a few sketchy jumps, but safe. She's only a baby yet, I wonder will Henry and team consider dropping her back to 2m for some races next season and let her stretch her legs on the front end and see what she can do. There will be tougher tests ahead, no doubt, but time is on her side.

I was unable to watch the race live this afternoon and have just watched it now. She has won well and I hope she continues like that although I see it difficult for her to reach the level she seemed to have in France.
