Can’t make this one, off to Spain for couple weeks. Will be in the air for most of the second half, hopefully like our fans watching - very much doubt it tho. I still live in hope for the ridiculous result that provides us a win & to beat Derby’s record but only really clutching at straws.
I'm clinging to one thing ... Palace are in the FA Cup semi-finals and as they are totally fine in the league their players may have one eye on that Wembley appearance and not risking injury.
Palace still have a number of games until the SF. I doubt they'll be too focused on it just yet. They'll cruise to victory tomorrow. Spurs and Villa might be different though. Our matches against them fall immediately before (and after, in Villa's case) important European matches. Spurs in particular have their entire season riding on winning the EL.
Palace do have their Derby match against Brighton on Saturday though, that might be a slight distraction.
I don't see the Eagles having any problems this time, though. Eberechi Eze is on fire for club and country and Ismaila Sarr found the target again in Saturday's FA Cup win over Fulham. Sutton's prediction: 0 - 2 Liam Hincks from Liverpool DJ & producer duo Tigerblind, who is a lifelong Everton fan.Liam's prediction: I am going with Palace here, they have got all the momentum. 0 - 1
The fight back starts tomorrow!! Well it’s better than being miserable for the next 24 hours. Would have been there but up to The Lakes early Thursday to soak in the 3 points!!
That's the thing about us this season though. In any other normal season you'd be thinking possible hangover from the weekend, one eye on Wembley and also on the match against their rivals at the weekend. Problem is we're so utterly pathetic this season they could probably turn up with 8 men wearing slippers and still get a comfortable 2-0 win.
Whenever we have played Palace recently , i seem to recall that we always come off second best. Picking up on the Juric Out thread , i would not be surprised if another loss saw us parting ways. I cannot see what retaining Juric means. We should experiment more in the retaining games as a kind of early pre season. Leaving things as they are will not teach the club anything they do not already know.
Did you know Tommy Widdringtons son is a strictly come dancing professional and a saints fan. Palace are decent but saints will win this one
SAINTS defensive trio Jan Bednarek, Taylor Harwood-Bellis and James Bree have all been passed fit to face Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening. Centre-backs Bednarek and Harwood-Bellis suffered injuries while away on international duty, while versatile defender Bree has been out since the 4-0 defeat at Chelsea. Manager Ivan Juric also confirmed that midfielder Will Smallbone, who withdrew from the Republic of Ireland squad last month, is still unavailable due to injury. Credit: Daily Echo.
Anyone else think that, with nothing left to play for, we should be giving a couple of youngsters a taste of the Premier League, if only to remind them that there is a pathway to the first team. Twenty minutes off the bench in a dead fixture has to be worth considering, in the same way that Sam Amo was given some time against Liverpool, two seasons ago.
Think yourself lucky. I live in Derby. I am constantly harangued about it I think we don’t have a chance
