Not a problem Gaz. I like to give the people what they want.

This Wetherby bumper is a nice little contest. The Pipe horse ran a good second on debut and is by far the most likely winner. The fact it's not been hammered is a warning sign maybe. Out of the rest I thick the Reveley horse, Star Lily, is interesting on debut at 9/1. Each way i think there'll be some kind of return and if it's one of their better horses I imagine it could put it up to the jolly. The other I like as much for the rarity factor if nothing else is Silver Storm who at 28/1 could out run it's odds.

Min each way on Silver Storm, mid size each way on Star Lily and nothing on the Pipe horse.

I fancy Jim Crowley's mount in the next after which he gets straight in the car for a very nice book of rides at Kempton where I cannot see him leaving without a double at the very least.

    Lingfield
    3.10 Harwoods Star

Well drawn with the main man on board in a reasonably modest event, quite a strong selection.

So it was a false gamble! I see! Now care to expand?

A horse is gambled it wins TRUE gamble
A horse is gambled it loses to a BETTER horse that's just a false gamble!

Seriously? But glad you came on Master to advise of the this horse running before it ran........................erm wait a minute..........................you did didn't you? :emoticon-0118-yawn:

A false gamble could be anything, just punters latching on to one, a typical stickwise horse, down below its last winning mark at a trip its won at, usually with a claimer, everyone can see it and it gets backed, but it might have absolutely nothing to with the actual owners or trainer. FALSE GAMBLE

Obviously some real gambles get turned over too.

I wasnt around earlier but I told the forum to keep an eye out for Hooded after his deceptively good debut and that he was rather well regarded.

    Hope you were on <ok>

You see I prefer to see it as horses not running true ie beaten 106 lengths on a non going day/ feeling down and then winning on a going day/feeling great! Similar to my own running where I sometimes run below my pb for no apparent reasoning!

HOWEVER I am posting whilst working in Glasgow, you with your knowledge and understanding, will be sunning yourself in St Barts logically! Just bantering no offence that's why I GAMBLE!!!
