Gonna have a speculative bet on sandymount duke in the gold cup at punchestown goes well fresh cheek pieces applied.

Taunton 6.45 FIGEAC @ 7/1

The 4yo grey was a flat winner in France but was unsighted in a trio of hurdles at the back end of last year. However out ran his 66/1 odds on seasonal reappearance in a Kempton jumpers bumper which had a strong look to it:

1st Chesterfield (143 hurdles winner and 3rd in Scottish Champion Hurdle last time.
2nd Zubayr (grade 2 winning hurdler)
3rd Figeac
4th Josses Hill (158 chase winner)
5th Vosne Romanee (136 chase winner)
6th Junction Fourteen (141 chase winner)
7th Gannicus (116 hurdles winner)

Open to plenty of improvement and could be thrown in here on handicap debut off mark of 100.

Lots of money for the Lacey runner in the Punchestown bumper but I can’t help thinking he’s punching above his weight here. We await the Bumper King’s thoughts

So Townend reckoned he heard a shout from someone at the last to bypass it. When Gordon Elliott was interviewed after the race and asked about the incident he said he didn't know as he was watching the race at the last fence. Hmmmm!

Yes looking forward to it - I am heading there this afternoon!

I like the look of SHAMSHON in the opener, DEE EX BEE in the Derby Trial and AJMAN KING in the 3.55.

Enjoy your day out and good luck. Looks like a decent card. Have been looking at the 3:20 and although that looks pretty competitive and you could make a case for half the field i reckon Lorelina is the one to be on at around 11s.

Agreed he has a fair bit on his plate (the trainers says as much on his blog) but fair play to Lacey for taking him over and having a go. Tizzard apart the British trainers look a bit windy to me.

I hope you're right. Is tomorrow the day that Man of Plenty finally gets his head in front in the card commencer at Punchestown. 22/1. Singles and ew double.

My other bet of the day is also Man of Plenty. I could not get 22/1 but I have 20/1 e/w.

Dorking Bay... well this is a big step up in class and he could be anything but I was impressed with their way of running in Market Rasen. That day I bet him and I was waiting for him but I never imagined it would be here. Very happy with my 28/1. He has a weight loss for his four years and that might help him. The yard is flying now.

Money for both Pilgrim so fingers crossed. And for a bit of interest I've added those 2 to Edwulf @ 9/1 and Woodland Opera @ 8/1 for a fantasy ew lucky 15. Good luck all

Be interesting to see how zabriskie gets on round Epsom.also like lorelina and dash of spice. Have a great day.

I fancy Kilaltugh Vic in the gold cup today, he needs to jump better than Cheltenham but we can perhaps put that down to the testing ground.
