Cheers fellas, expected result and exactly as I thought with the Godolphin castoff. Probably too slow for the flat and doesnt stay for the bumpers. Cant all be Kings!

    Great to see ya Smokey.

It will be interesting to see whose colours Major Dundee runs in next time he appears on the racecourse. Looks like that was £30k well spent by Alan King.

That an interesting system to look into, methinks. Horses running in bumpers on debut for top trainers who also own them (although I guess who is a ‘top’ trainer and who isn’t is very, very, very subjective. One man’s leading trainer is another’s ‘couldn’t train Ivy…’ etc). As I said yesterday the oldest trick in the book is to train a horse to the minute, see it hose up in a bumper and then sell it to an existing owner, in the yard, for a mega profit. Something to exploit, team?!? Thoughts…

No, my sister and her are best mates. They have an agreement these days to tell me nothing! Reckoned I was passing on info
My sister leads/saddles up for her on busy race days if she has horses at the southern courses. The Don and I were honorary owners of Le Reve for one day when the real owner couldn’t make it. Harry Skelton rode him that day at Sandown and he won. She does extraordinarily well with a pretty small string.

Don Cantillon uses bumpers to boost the value of horses he has bred/purchased to very good effect.
