I say, pilgrims, those bookie chappies are taking no chances with Miss Crick, are they?!? A best priced 8/11 at the moment. Seems a bit short too my eye.

To use a top table analogy don’t forget that today is not the main course but merely the hors d'oeuvres. The main course is the Listed heat at Cheltenham’s ‘Paddy Power’ meet.

Of her opponents Midnight Tune gets a positive mention from trainer, Anthony Honeybuuny, in today’s ‘Weekender’. This one’s (Midnight Tune not Anthony Honeybunny) dam is also a half-sister to Champion Hurdler, Kribensis.

In saying, all this though, I do expect Miss Crick to oblige.

One of Coolmore’s rare mistakes. Horseguardsparade cost just over £470,000 as a yearling and I’ll wager that they let him go, to the 11th richest man in Wales, for a tiny, tiny, tiny fraction of that sum. Don’t know the exact amount, he paid, but you don’t get to be the 11th richest man in Wales by paying extortionist prices for things.

Given that the 11th richest man in Wales has Mr Henderson, as a close pal, you do have to wonder why he isn’t training him if Horseguardsparade is viewed a superstar. But an interesting runner nevertheless and if they’ve got him ready, on lineage, should go close.

I think Ringside Humour stands out in 5.30 at Navan after a decent second at Cork a few days ago.10/3 seems a decent price me thinks

Liked the look of October Storm pedigree at Newmarket for this soft ground maiden. By Shirocco out of a half sister to smart Shirocco Star, this might be a nice filly for Mick Channon and should like the conditions. Its a maiden so very small stakes please!
