Two that I like the look of today are as follows: 4.20 Ayr POLITBUREAU. Was unlucky lto when slowly away and held up. Flew home but just quite didn't get there in time. May have been a bad ride and jockey error but I think he will make amends and win today. 3/1 4.40 War FROZEN OVER. In very good form winning all 3 starts this year and can continue this today. Could be an e/w bet to nothing but really do fancy a win here. 5/1. Two win singles and a double. Think even a place double is around 2/1.
13 yo Sizing Europe retired. I was at Cheltenham on the day Sprinter Sacre pummelled him and thought he was finished but he proved me wrong (and just how good SS was at his best) by going on to win some good pots afterwards. What a marvellous racehorse he has been. £1.3 million in prize money and competed in the Queen Mother 4 times winning once, but IMHO would have been twice but for the omitted final fence in 2012 when Finians Rainbow prevailed. Also contested the Irish version 5 times winning twice, including 2014 as a 12 yo. Was runner up twice and third on the other occasion. I love seeing these old warriors return to the track season after season but I think they've made the correct decision. Deserves a long and contented retirement.
One for this afternoon Lingfield 3.30 Mambo Rhythm 11-4 I like the look of this horse as a decent bet. The yard is in form the jockey is in form and the opposition mediocre, with all this taken into account the price looks a good un if Johnston does not insist the horse bottoms itself out by front running.
I am on this already - not especially because of the Squire form as we know that he does not like the all weather - however that a horse can win that impressively and still be eligible to run in grade 4 handicaps is beyond me. I think his mark underestimates him by a good 6-10lbs.
I know. Lucky bastard aren't I. Seems like I was the only bugger that fancied him. Probably no better sign that I should stay away from the flat.
Happy to hear that Sizing Europe has finally been retired.I was of the impression that they should have made that decision last year.No horse derserves it more, hope he enjoys his retirement!
After announcing on Tuesday that he had sold American Pharoah's breeding rights after receiving an offer described as "too good to pass up", owner Ahmed Zayat confirmed Coolmore to be the successful bidders on Wednesday. Must have been crazy money.
With you on king blue mick, dont think Ruby is arsed going to sligo for nothing, Disputed looks the main danger. My other wager will be on Rebel Cry in 8.30.Dropped in trip back to 2miles after finding 2.5m to much lto,won over 2miles earlier this year though that was on heavy ground.Has a decent claimer on board and should run a decent race at 4/1.
Interesting nibble for BUSTA NELLIE Kempton 7:10 @ 33/1 Simon Dow is no mug on the AW and doesn't do too badly with his juveniles
Worth a small rev-forecast with the fav or a small each-way for sure at that price. I think the bottom 4 in the betting are not at the races and so you have a five horse race effectively.
