I was in Hong kong about a decade ago and having grabbed the winners on the first few races put the lot on Rakti at 8-1, very loudly and very arrogantly. I believe Rakti came in last. I was already walking back to the hotel.
Just picked up this golden nugget from the racing post website and thought I'd share it: "Frankel performs particularly well under Tom Queally with a 100% strike-rate"
My brother and I had one of those long walks home one night when young. We unloaded on trotter that led until the last few hops. Left the track about 10:30 and didn't get home until 3 am.
Absolutely sublime, without doubt the greatest horse i have had the pleasure to watch, simply the best!
Anyone know why the inquiry at Galway? I backed Gold Ability but not been paid out yet. Forget that. It's sorted.
Aftertimer alert ;-), i was on board as well Quel. What was Ruby doing on the favourite poor ride didnt really give him a chance, Gold Ability travelled well throughout and battled on gamely good shout.
Fantastic overhead shots of Frankel from the rear. Really showed his power as Frankie Dettori went to make his challenge. Farhh was almost taking 2 strides to Frankel's 1. I'd love to hear what FD had to say after seeing Frankel effortlessly go further and further away. I am now really pissed off that he's not in the Arc. Assuming he wins his 10f race in similar fashion, all he would have to do in the Arc would be to effectively have a 2f exercise gallop, followed by 6-7f of tagging along with the others and then just sprint clear 3 out. And I would have been able to see him in the flesh. I don't want much.
