Just bought the Times Newspaper, in France, for the princely sum of 3 euros, 17 pages of sport and not a mention of Goodwood (or any other racing), plenty of coverage of other English only sport (i.e. county cricket), anyone know why? Have been forced to buy The Mail...
Was going To redcar but eldest daughter crocked so sat at home watching Olympics and racing, not a bad to be indoors stay frosty
Also not getting the hype around Ghurair - he won a decent maiden first time out but his form is still way behind several of these at this stage. Obvious he is open to improvement but I wonder if the hype is because Afonso De Sousa (4th) hacked up next time out but the key for him was better ground. Also how do we know Ghurair will appreciate the better surface ?- not for me at 2/1 - with the others on the Chapple Hyam horse
I'm certainly not going to criticise Ghurair (and not suggesting that you or anyone else is) for fear of tempting fate but I am happy enough with Hannon and hughes in this race. Anyway, with a name like Olympic Glory it's got it in the bag!
Starkey I think he is a lovely prospect but can't have him at 2/1. Olympic Glory has the best form and as you say with a name like that you should be collecting
Booooooom!! THanks for that RV I owe you a very big drink. That pays for my day tomorrow at goodwood!! :
