Stone last there, think ive had my luck for today, however, before i go three double priced EW fancies in the last three races at York.

3.35 HAWK MOUNTAIN 20/1 who drop sback in class and distance today and has decent course form and is weigthed well enough to run a brave race here from the front.

4.10 HOOF ALONG 25/1 owned by the same connections as HOOF IT

4.45 MITCHUM 50/1 in his first race in Handicap Company he went off a well gambled favourite LTO, however, he was a tailed off last of 7. Today he he is stepped up to 7f and the gamble LTO suggests the stable think he could win a Handicap and today he is worth a shout, negative is the draw.

Everybody seems convinced that APOB has the Oaks sown up. I am far from convinced. When one of his gets beat, despite being backed of the boards, despite being bound to improve a load for the run the last day, it is suddenly miles down the Ballydoyle pecking order? She might be, but there is not a hope in hell that they were expecting her to get battered like that. The Gosden filly was different class.

Ballydoyle obviously have a strong hand but Kissed has a hell of a knee action and looks a bit gangly to me, Maybe must be a slightly doubtful stayer. I prefer Vow of the rest who looks very talented but is still very green.

I have filled up on Paddy Power's generous 6/1 (now 4/1) about The Fugue and will adjust my portfolio as required. I think she should be favourite though. I want to add Vow and wish I'd been able to take the 14/1 straight after her Lingfield win but I wasn't at my computer.

Nobody in the racing Media from C4 expect the Gosden filly to get beaten in the Oaks.

I haven't heard anyone say AO'B has the Oaks sewn up...apart from RV!..<laugh>

The Fugue was comfortably beaten by Homecoming Queen and the Twirl is backed off the boards to beat The Fugue today. That suggests to me that Ballydoyle thought Twirl would be equally as good if not better than Homecoming Queen.
No doubt in my mind that The Fugue has improved for the spin at Newmarket and little doubt either that AOB thought he would win this today.
It's a big result for the Gosden filly and boy isnt she a beast. Not saying she will win The Oaks but she is certainly entitled to be very short after that performance today.

Everytime a Ballydoyle horse is punted in - it must be the Magniers/Tabors steaming in to it - HOW ABOUT NO !!!!!
