Geez Wooly, he spanked Annie on quickish ground. No worries to him at all.

The big names may well dominate again, and I've not much appetite for that; at my level, there's nothing in it.
Saying that, at the moment, I'm only really liking one Josies Orders in the 4.10.

So, the one I'm really throwing in there, that may get under the radar, is Seeyouatmidnight in the 2.10, let's see.

Also, for some reason, I'm drawn to Jaleo in the 4.50.

I'm going each way with all 3.
Place money will do after a blank Tuesday.

I've no bumper experience to draw on, but if any of these 3 do go in, then New To This Town is appealing ( 5.30, but you know that )

    Best of luck.

I like another couple of 'second strings' tomorrow- or in this case second and third string....

    Cross Country race

QUANTITATIVEEASING should have won last year before being airlifted off track by the loose cannon that was Toutancarmont last year.

I also liked the reappearance effort of CANTLOW, who could be revived under the stewardship of Enda Bolger.

More effective imo softer ground now he's gone chasing, NMH has been doing well but will improve for the better ground!

Or am I just trying to convince myself <laugh>

Trying something this week to help me pick am backing in handicaps horses wearing head gear for the first time! (If there's more than one in a race I am picking the one I fancy the most as well as in some races my own picks - didn't back one in the first handicap saying that as I had been eyeing up Morning Assmbely for a while) but I had a second - native river and a First - Ballyalton (with a big thanks to Nass aswell)

    So tomorrow I have got

2.50 - Qewy ew (only one in the race)
4.50 - Campeador & Voix du Reve a few of the having tongue straps and cheekpieces with both of these except for Doubly clever - who I just can't have the only ones wearing hoods for the first time going for both as I don't have any other fancy for my own- like a minefield the race

It worked out well today so hoping it can Continue- not going mad on stakes really (except Ballyalton today - thanks again Nass <ok> lol as they wont always work and Is interesting to see how effective and stats at the festival

Just been looking through NMHs hurdles form and the only real quality horse he had behind him was Shaneshill which is a worry. He is the best novice jumper I have seen. Watching him at Leopardstown, when Cooper asked him to find a stride he took lengths out of the opposition, but I'm not such he has enough pace to see out the job. I have a nice antepost bet on him but can he beat the class of MOT. MOT on the other hand hasn't been in any top quality chases so we will have to see how his jumping stands up under pressure. I think Vyta du roc might lead them off but I'm not sure he will be able to keep this lot behind him. Seeyouatmidnight hasn't raced against anything of the quality he will face here so who knows.

I feel it is going to be a cracker.

Trappy day today and once again a number of my picks from the preview evening are not running. Willie, I know you are a fecking genius, but if ever there were an RSA horse then surely Black Hercules? Why oh why isn't he running <wah>

Now final decs are up I've stopped trying to find one to beat Yanworth and backed him at 5/4. Only danger I see is Yorkhill so may play the forecast again.
RSA looks a match between NMH and MOT - again a forecast play.

In the Coral Cup I've used a free bet e/w on Ubak, think he is good value at 33s, might have a saver on Bauolet Delaroque and Baron Alco later ................

In the Champion Chase I've Sprinter at fancy odds ante post. Was deeply impressed by UDS last team, love the horse but too short now.

Sticking with Third Intention in the cross country (anyone think JP McManus wants to win this? <laugh>)

In the Fred Winter, my fancies Jer's Girl and Sir Chauvelin don't go so I've had an e/w snifter on Sir Barney's Doubly Clever. Might need to sniff out a second one in this depending on how things go.

Already backed 2 in the bumper - the Twister's Ballyandy and Jessica's New To This Town.

Had a message from my irish mate for NEW TO THIS TOWN in the 5 30. Currently 10/1 and he didn't say e/w so I've just done it to win. The guy doesn't talk/go into detail much just gives me the odd few irish horses at Cheltenham, have had 6 winners and one 33/1 3rd from 9 tips from him, other 2 fell, so hopefully this makes it 7 winners out of 10. I like Jessica Harrington also and good jockey in Julie and connections

Just a note on the form lines for that race. New To This Town and Avenir D'une Vie very closely matched on the gowran race. Our Duke beat Avenir D'une Vie by 34 lengths at punchestown. Death Duty beat Our Duke by half a length at navan, then CASTELLO SFORZA beat Death Duty by 5 lengths on debut at fairyhouse. I'm aware it's never that simple but given weights/ground not too different in all of those races I would have to have CASTELLO SFORZA 20 lengths ahead of New To This Town so he'll carry my money in this one. Good luck to all

Yorkhill- Tipped up him from September for this, all over him antepost. Yanworth clearly worries me. Think Yorkhill beats him though. Will love left handed.

No more heroes- ditto above, sub More of That for Yanworth.

    Coral- Arbre de Vie.

QM- Obviously UDS is the best horse here. Hopefully he can put on a show and finally get some respect in beating the last 3 winners of this.

    Cross Country- Josies Orders. Easily.

Fred- Backed Campeador at shorter than he is now. Judge. Raped by the handicapper since :(

    Bumper- TBC

    GL :)

I am big on ARDAMIR in the Fred Winter but HARLEY REBEL was on my short list before the weekend and won very nicely at Sandown on Saturday to get him in the race today. He has the right "improving" profile for the race and is worth a saver at 28/1.

Obviously SPRINTER SACRE is actually the best horse here. In his pomp, UDS wouldn't be in the same field imho and that's from a Sire De Grugy fan.

So Cooper has chosen to ride Don Cossack - DC backers pleased with that?

Wow did anyone watching The Morning Line see Gordon Elliot sprinting off there in the background after the interview with Nick Luck? Someone must have told him the bacon butties have arrived <laugh>
