Lets hope that the visibility is better at Kempton than it has been at Lingfield this afternoon.

I fancy a few tonight at Kempton and will start with

Well done on the winners Nass btw.

I found a fiver in Tesco off licence whilst buying alcohol free Becks so also in profit!

No bet for me today...keeping my powder dry for Days Hotel tmz at Thurles..interesting to see who Giggenstown run.

The 6.15 in Kempton has certainly created considerable interest with three different confident selections on the thread so far.

Yeah,he finished ok last year but was beaten by a better horse given the ride of the meeting, and I include Carberry's Bellvano effort.

Don't see why he can beat Salsify this year after being readily held last year.Salsify will also love the better ground.

Will it take another mercurial ride to win the race though?

I agree that he will struggle, for me he is likely to hit a fence in the Foxhunters and need to stay a bit better than he does. He tries hard though, I remember him being pulled up after the race and young Skelton saying that he overexherted himself trying to respond to urgings from the saddle.

A very likeable horse is Chapoturgeon.

No...he won very snuggly in the end and can be ridden handier.Be interesting to see how Tammy's Hill, who has beaten him twice this Winter on deep ground, progresses.

Irish amateurs love the "Hollywood" rides in staying 'chases where they drop the horse out and slowly creep into the race.In fact it's almost compulsory.

J T McNamara,Derek O'Connor,Nina,Jamie Codd et al are all fine exponents.

Agree about Chapoturgeon..great old stick who will be competitive at the Festival again.

That one is a little left field tbh but I suppose he would be in the top three on ratings.

I suppose OW is a doubtful stayer,Quevega may not run,ROP is being kept for the Ascot GC and VLV has retired.

The race is full of failed chasers and inconsistent exposed types,Monksland being the exception...so there may be value in something like CH.

Will he stay?...he does tank along.

Very well done on the winners today Nass <applause> and whilst I wasn't quite reaching for the tissues I did have a semi-stiffy around 4.00 (although that was probably a mixture of boredom and the tidy lass from upstairs walking past the office).

Not for me Nass - soundly thrashed by Oscar Whiskey over 2m4f and never given any indication he wants further, in fact quite the opposite. If it comes up soft, Reve de Sivola, otherwise Oscar Whiskey or Rite Of Passage (although I think the latter will be primarily aimed at the Gold Cup). Peddlers Cross would be interesting if entered - much better chance in this than the Champion Hurdle IMHO.

Cheers Oddy, been really upset by the lack of walkpasts of our office today, luckily the racing cheered me up. £130+ return from £15 on the L15 was a nice thing to brighten the day.

Celestial Halo would surely be one of the best horses in the WH, probably along with Peddler's Cross who would probably be more of a stamina horse. If he stayed I think he would be bang in the finish, may look for a price today after reading Nicholls targeting him at the race

The horse that beat ***o in the French grade 1 Utopie Des Bordes makes his UK debut on Saturday in the Supreme Novices trial. Its up against a couple of decent looking horses so will prove fascinating how the form is. River Maigue, Sametegal & She Ranks Me are just a few of the horses due to run.
