Desperate news on Coneygree. One of the horses I was most looking forward to this winter. Hope all goes well for him.
Morning, me old loves. Nothing for me today but quite a decent card across the county line at Newbury. One to watch with the old notebook, methinks. Talking of that meet it’s amazing to think it was 7 years ago, at that very fixture, that Zaynar made his hurdling bow. I was there then and cor blimey he most deffo warmed up a cold day. Stick, it will be dark at 7.10 this evening, of course, but how you be illuminating Stick Manor at that time?!? Will it be the chandelier, light bulb, strip light, LEDs, night light, candle light or something else perhaps?!?
Wise words. Wonder if this will propel that J.P. chap to do ‘a Coneygree’ and run More of That, if he remains sound, in the ’16 CGC. Given that this one missed most of last term with injury you have to think he will be tempted because after all how many chances does one get??? Not a young horse either as More of That will be an 8YO come March.
Boom, Boom ! How on earth ... I nearly fell off my chair. First interview done, not bad, now for the presentation, which could be anything, but I'll give it a good go! Deffo on Triple Dream now
Very interesting horse retuning to action at Kempton this evening after just over 2 year off the track. Pearl Spectre returns for Andrew Balding and if he's been targeted for this race he should be too good if retaining his ability. This lad had Cannock Chase (113) in arrears when winning his maiden and he gets to run here off a mark of 79 which means he is potentially a blot on the handicap book. As stated, his fitness and that has to be a worry but he's currently 6/1 which is very fair given he could well rout these.
