He's a man of few words. And he used 'em all up there Not sure what to make of that - you'd have to think she'll come on for that, but Tattenham Corner might be a problem for Liber Nauticus
Could be a problem couldn't it Reebok. I think you've got a decent point there. I don't know what price she is now for Epsom but if she shortens I'll take a good look at the rest of the field.
'South Stack is the only horse who would like the rain and this is his first chase, again he must have an outstanding chance on his chase debut.' This is from Kim Bailey's blog if anyone is interested. I'm not bothering with it but currently 3/1 and I'm sure it may tempt a few.
Maarek time. I'll be surprised if he's out of the three. Maybe a little heavier going to see him at his best though.
Think Maarek got done by the draw there. Was too far back as well after falling out of the stalls. Pretty sure Spencer will be back on for his next start as well! Still ran a fine race and he'll be back in the winners enclosure very soon. That I am sure of!
Gutted what a jockey that Spencer is...... 40-1 finished 5 lenghs beaten having never been able to race at anytime, finished with a complete handful. This was not at Chester this was York yet he managed to never find space to allow the horse to race. He was behind the winner at one point then deliberately took him behind the wall of horses hoping to thread a passage. This was not crooked just stupid.
Very speculative each wayer at Fontwell - River Sava at 10/1. Purely because the favourite is too short and this horse has some acceptable bumper form on Irish ground.
Just watched the Musidora and Duke Of York. The Stoute filly was unimpressive but won.Interesting that John Gosden thought his filly didn't stay after travelling up well.Connections of the second aren't even considering supplementing her for Epsom.Ultimately the winner, rated 86 going into this, beat the second, rated 85,about a length. Considering the positive vibes surrounding the winner and her home work plus the money for her, then the performance was pretty underwhelming. She certainly has to step up on that but she may well be capable of doing so. Maarek missed the break and perhaps the ground wasn't soft enough.I'm also really not sure why Hanagan was booked and that was more than enough to put me off. This was always going to be a negative for the horse.Jack Dexter didn't have a very clear passage either in that event but like all sprints with big fields hard luck stories are legion. Great ride by KF on the winner and a cracking run from the second who has well and truely buried any suspicions that his Newbury win last backend was a fluke. Off for a quick perusal of this evenings action.
