Golf. Something keeps drawing me to Sergio Garcia. Never won a major and often come close. Not really fancied so could just pop up and win the biggest one of all - The British Open at the home of golf. 33-1 is worth a punt.
Welcome (back) Mikey. Can't offer a birthday winner, I'm afraid: I did take a long look at Muffri'Ha in the 3.10 at Lingfield, but in spite of - or maybe because of - the small field, that looks a trappy race and better watched. Had a little on Jonas Blixt at that stretch of desolate and depressing heathland, at 550+ on the exchanges: not a great record in the Open (26th in 2013) but he's had a second in the Masters and a fourth in the PGA in the last two years and I think he could run better than his price. If he should win, I'll be back bellowing a claim for the longest-odds-ever winner on 606.
I tipped Blixt on here for the masters when he came second Rainer, was a huge price but cannot remember what. He like most Scandinavian golfers has a very good temperament for it.
Speaking of which what is the single highest odds tipped on here over the years.I know there used to be a hall of fame thread one of which I dont feature on!
Hey guys. BRITISH OPEN thread up on general chat so we can keep the golf separate and not clog the horse racing forum up. If anyone can add to it please do. Thanks.
Congrats to jim culloty for ending a 16 month drought with a winner at Killarney this evening.Still a prick though
