Good Luck <ok>

5.25 York Papagei

Interestingly, the name means "parrot" in German but that isn't why I selected John Ferguson's gelded son of Masar. The 4YO made his seasonal reappearance last month at Musselburgh and, under top weight, he finished a close 3rd behind Sportingsilvermine (subsequently finished a close 2nd at Chester off a 5lb higher mark) and It's A Love Thing (subsequently won easily at Pontefract). Wondering whether he might come on for his opening run of the season, I went back 12 months and found that he also ran 3rd on seasonal debut in 2024 before winning next time out, beating none other than East India Dock at Yarmouth. I think Papagei should go very close today.

Rubbish. No attempt to get competitive from the wide draw and he just didn't seem to like being behind horses. Or they are trying to get his mark down.
