Easy there with the videos of animals being pushed to their limits with little regard for their wellbeing. I'm already at war with my moral conscience at this time of year.

It is. I got tips against - tips on. 3/1 double.

Might steam in to Altior later. I admit the scare has put me off a little.

Right, well yesterday went well for me but today is a whole new story where I have the shorty's in a few doubles etc and not a whole lot of money riding on the rest...
    Anyway here goes...

    1:30 - Samcro
    2:10 - Presenting Percy, Ballyoptic
    2:50 - Voix Du Reve
    3:30 - Altior
    4:10 - Cause of Causes
4:50 - Act of Valour, Lisp
    5:30 - Rhinestone, Acey Milan

Lets see but I'm not overly hopeful today... Good luck to all...<cheers>

Know what you mean KF. That said, I admit to laughing at the clip of some Irish racing earlier - it's a natural and instinctive human thing to do - but then the reality of the situation kicks in and you then tend to feel a bit ashamed of laughing, and deplore the beating of exhausted animals.

Day 1 was a success. For day 2, I'm sliding between the obvious and the extreme

Altior and Cause of Causes Double for the somewhat obvious.

Small EW dabble on Oxford Blu in the Fred Winter but my outrageous EW Trixie goes on:

    1:30: Vision De Flos
    2:10: Elegant Escape
    4:50: Esprit De Somoza

    <cheers>

With all the action at the top of the market in the QMCC. I've had a couple of quid ew on God's Own at 50/1 in the hope that he can steal a place

Ok ... I know you have all been waiting to see what I have plunged on (so you can either cash-in or back something else?) so here goes. Day 2

1-30 Samco all the way, Next Destination with Skybet (money back as a free bet if losing)

2.10 Black Corton for me. I don't think he is ground dependant, he's a C&D winner in soft and at 7-1, what's not to like?

2.50 Throw a dart .... I'm opting for one of Willie's - Voix Du Reve ew

3.30 Altior all day long. EOS :)

4.10 The Last Samuri. Loves the mud, stays for ever, and though he hasn't yet encountered the twists and turns of the x-country, he is class.

4.50 Michouka in another tricky handicap, 10-1 currently.

5.30 The Champion Bumper. Where do we start .... Blackbow, Rhinestone, Mercy Mercy Me and The Big Bite all look interesting, but I liked what I saw in Acey Milan's last run, and he will do for me. And he may well do for me!

    Good luck all <ok>

No worries man, no offence taken and I wasn't meaning to have a pop at you. Like Reebok in that I broke a smile thinking they were all going to pull up. What followed was just a sobering reminder that maybe (at least on some level) the animal rights activists have a point.

Anyway, enough of that. On a lighter note: best of luck today folks. After yesterday surely all my bad luck is out the way for the week. Hopefully, tonight we'll all be shopping for bigger wheelbarrows.

And, eh, all the horses return safe and sound. Of course.

Just call me the resident hypocrite.

I really do like Samcro but you're off your tits if you're backing him at 8/11. This looks to be the strongest of all the novice hurdles. What a race we have in prospect.

Closer we get the more I'm thinking Samcro will get turned over...!! Don't know why but it's just a feeling...

Let's hope for a great start to the day like we had yesterday with all coming home safe n sound...
