Now that Geraghty has deserted the Gifford horse in the bumper I am finally jumping ship too. Time for a rethink.

Its another day tomorrow and Elliott could easily be having a couple of winners. I think someone on here said they were concerned re Tom George's runners today...he didn't do too bad ..a winner and two places.

Next Destination is very slow but he finds plenty. Another terrible field, will be a major letdown if Samcro cant win this after all the hype.

Champion Chase first good race of the meeting on paper at least, remains to be seen if the big guns are at their best, Ruby picking Douvan despite horrendous prep is not looking good for Mins chances. Im on Politologue at 9/2, very shrewd bet. Having some more on at 14s, far too big.

My bet tomorrow is Monalee, he was my favourite novice last season and I just think hes a better horse than Presenting Percy.

Another top judge under-estimating Bryony and the pocket rocket that is Black Corton.

I like Monalee, would have been having a big bet by my standards had they gone JLT.

I wouldn’t be worrying about Elliott’s form one iota. Apples Jade ran below form and that was it. Mengli Khan ran a cracker, the 4 milers a unique test so that wasn’t a big deal, I don’t see the huge issue here. Remember everyone was writing off Mullins last year after the Wednesday, he won four on the Thursday! Elliott will likely have two winners today. (If he doesn’t win the first that’s everyone’s antepost accas up the ****ter <laugh>)

I would love to see Black Corton win, but will be only backing each way as I just think one will be too good for him. If it is not Presenting Percy or Monalee I think DOUNIKOS could run a big race at this longer trip.

    So my selections are ;

1.30 Vision Des Flos and Gowiththeflow ew (have Samcro in some multiples)

2.10 Presenting Percy (will smash the field - future gold cup winner)

    2.50 Fix Le Kap ew

3.30 Altior (only in multiples) Howver I would love to see Douvan back to his best

    4.10 Cause Of Causes

    4.50 Nube Negra

    5.30 Rhinestone

The match up we have been longing for has been here Altior vs Douvan! Let’s hope they go over the last as one and ruby and Nico are going flat out up the hill! And who wins - I’ll let you decide!

Imo douvan - has form on this ground and they learnt by faugheen to send him here fresh! But all I hope is it lives up to its expectations and this could go down as one of the greatest races of all time

    Here's my 2 to avoid.

    2.50 As you were
    3.30 Politologue

Just a couple of each way single bets, nothing extravagant, keep it simple.

Hoping that Black Corton has a cracker and looking out for The King of May ( compo selection ) in the 4.50.

    Enjoy your day.
