Easy to be wise after the event but why on Earth was Cruiseaweigh shorter yesterday and all morning than High Bridge? The bumper form has taken a few digs but the facts remain that the best bumper horses end up at Cheltenham and quite a lot go on to be very decent hurdlers!

That's about the perfect result as a Singlefarmpayments fan, shame Aurillac didn't jump at key points. Beware The Bear looks a useful horse indeed.
