A lot better day today...leave festival.into a micro brewery in the brewery quarter in Cheltenham. Live guitarist on at 7pm . Obviously this would not normally happen on a Wednesday...gotta love the festival. ! Altior I lumped on today...what a class act he is and managed a close up at paddock too. Tiger roll was another class act today too..what a horse he is! .
Just back from an excellent day out. Some tremendous races and great finishes. I don't think I've ever seen a horse make a mistake like Altior did and still win a Champion Chase. 3 very nice novices in the staying chase to look forward to in future seasons. Tiger Roll superb. Wicklow Brave what a fine servant. I considered backing him purely for sentimental reasons but didn't. Pleased really as though he was an ew price I'd have been gutted when he got chinned. And a lovely start to the day with City Island.
