Ratings? Think that says it all. They are utterly subjective and abstract to the true effort and ability of the horses.

Handicapper into group race. Didn’t perform. Excuses made.

Not to say he isn’t group class but it’s easy for them to make excuses. If he was held up before the race, why didn’t they state that before the race?

I smell a rat

 

He performed to a similar level that he had the last time in this grade. Surely that tells us all we need to know.
We thought he had improved when winning the Stewards Cup but quite obviously he is just a very good handicapper.
